Forums - Nintendo - Name your realistic dream announcment conference for NX

So I was going back to the 8th generation console announements and I got hyped again for NX, so I felt we should have this kinda thread.

Rules:

  • It has to be 4 Nintendo First Party Game announcmenets and 4 Third Party announcments
  • What do you hope the final name is
  • Month for it to be announced
  • System Specs (optional)
  • Online Intergration (opitonal)
  • Anything that I missed
  • It has to be realistic, so don't post "HL3 NX exclusive" or something like that

Name: I would love if Nintendo kept the NX name, or went back to the Nintendo Entertainment System (Or Nintendo 128)

Month: Febuary or March

Games:

First Party: The Legend of Zelda Wii U announced for NX, Super Mario 128/Galaxy 3/Anything new, Star Tropics 3 Or Earthbound Reboot, Brand new Adventure Action IP

Third Party: Final Fantasy XV or Final Fantasy VII Remake announced for NX, Sonic 25th anniversary announcement, Cyberpunk 2077, Yooka Laylee NX

System Specs: I don't feel like going in full detail so just a system that is clearly more powerful then PS4

Region Free announcment.

What do you guys want?

Advance Wars NX, Super Mario NX from EAD Tokyo, Final Fantasy VII Remake, and Wave Race NX (wanna see purdy water effects in HD!) would be good for me.

I honestly don't care that much about form factor, but I think a portable console would be super cool and different from anything on the market.

700 GFLOP APU from AMD (14nm) similar in power to the Apple A9X chip, has a ton of kick to it for a portable, can even handle PS4 ports at lowered effects on the go. This form factor would draw a ton of third party support IMO because developers would be attracted to a platform with 3DS like userbase, but with some serious power behind it so ports are possible.

You can buy a "home dock" (supplemental computing device) for it as an optional accessorie which more than doubles the raw horsepower allowing for 1080P/60 FPS games at home.

"Home console" version is basically just the portable + home dock bundled together for those who want that setup.

Giddy up.

Ladies and gentlemen: The Nintendo Fusion.

-New Super Mario Brothers NX.
-Metroid: Dangerous Prey. (a 2D Metroid in HD).
-EarthBound Collection (a remake of the three Mother games, maybe in clay graphics like Rainbow Curse to show off the tech).
-Zelda U.

-Monster Hunter X Ultimate (basically MH X in HD).
-Resident Evil Collection.
-Xenogears collection (It didn't come to the WiiU, it will have to come to the NX).
-Plants VS Zombies: Garden Warfare 2

Two systems, one architecture, they can both use the same games. One home console and one handheld device. The home console comes first to improve the handheld on its compatibility with the HC and to keep the 3DS sales going a little more.

Home console: November 2016.
Handheld: June 2017, Pokemon 7th gen would launch in October 2017.

FREE ONLINE MULTIPLAYER. Backwards compatibility, even if it is digital-only like the XBone. And region-free. Virtual console of GC-GBA, Wii-DS and WiiU-3DS early on. And all of the Nintendo account features they are working on.

A controller with a second screen. I like second screens! Maybe a small screen, to not make a giant controller. Also, make GameCube controllers wih the screen and PC compatible. Keep the Wiimotes and the Gamepad compatible. Also, ou can use the handeld as a controller for the home console.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I think they will confirm third party support from Square Enix and will confirm Dragon Quest XI + Dragon Quest builders and with FFXV and Star Ocean 5 paving the way for strong third party from Square Enix for the life of the NX, oh and Project Cars 2 :)

There will be a 3D Mario NX along with F-Zero NX and a new IP aimed at a more mature audience to appeal to gamers of the other systems more. Since we got no confirmation on Pikmin 4 platform yet might as well add that for the NX launch title.

Nintendo Wham!

Revealed in March 2016

I think they will have learned that suddenly people seem to care about console power and specs so will be a lot more competitive and more powerful than the PS4.

Online Integration for gaming will remain free.

Region Free since its about time it happened.

This is based on me thinking a holiday 2016 release is most likely and if it was 2017 would of changed some of the games. I also think they will confirm Fifa, Madden and COD will be coming to their platform at some point(likely at E3) and that they are generally very open to third party as the industry have shown its required to be successful. Would love to see some of their handheld games making it for the launch window as well but that will be Japan only and come west at a later date by my guess.

Full third party support + Nintendo first party is console heaven!

Well I guess I'll just sit back and wait for the inevitable "he said realistic" jokes to roll on in.

1st Party games
-Super Mario Galaxy 3
-Pokemon Terra and Astra, Gen VII games, with an option to visit the other regions from previous games in the post-game.
-Earthbound NX; a remake of Earthbound. Comes with a code to download Mother 3 on the VC.
-Fire Emblem (a sequel to Fates)

3rd Party games
-Monster Hunter X Ultimate (I'm not interested at all, but this would drive sales in Japan)
-Final Fantasy
-SSX
-Phoenix Wright

Release Date: November 27, 2016.
Name: Nintendo Ultra

Features:
- Free online multiplayer
- Split into two independent systems, a handheld and a home console, operating on the same OS and sharing the same games, but with the home console being significantly stronger. 1.5x PS4 minimum. Handheld should be 3x Vita minimum.
- Achievement System
- Region Free

-The handheld would stay like the New 3DS XL, possibly adding slightly larger screens ~5 inch top, 4.5 inch bottom. Would keep the same button layout, but add a second stick, as well as triggers in the sticks.
-The home console controller should be like a Wii U pro controller, but add analog triggers and a screen, about double the size of the PS4 controller's touch pad, stretching above the body of the controller to allow two screen play.

I honestly like this idea.

Basically your console, is like a 3DS, a handheld.

But you have a dockingstation, you plug it into (more power, and cooling), and it overclocks.... and it might even have a seperate GPU (think SLI / crossfire), and then run the games at a higher resolution when you do.

I dont think Nintendo will go this route though.

First party announcments:

Super mario Galaxy 3

Mario Kart 9

Pokemon RPG console version (needs to be graphically up to date, for this gen)

Zelda U (HD port)

Third party announcments:

Persona 5

Final Fantasy XV

World Of Final Fantasy

(nintendo need to sweet talk Atlus & SE)

First Party:
-A new Golden Sun
-A new Super Mario RPG
-For all the potential that Metroid Prime 4 could be, I hope that Retro is doing a new Ip for NX
-Either a new Mario game in veins of Super Mario 64 or a Pokemon open world.

Third Party:
-Everything Square Enix related(Tomb Raider, FF7 Remake, Dragon Quest 11, KH 3, etc.)
-Resident Evil 7, but being a game that truly returns to its roots, with the gameplay addiction of RE4 and the atmosphere and design brilliance of RE 1.
-Cyberpunk 2077(The next game of CD Projekt Red), because i believe they can keep making awesome games.
-New Megaman games, especially Megaman X games(X is in a serious need of a reboot)

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

https://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=241866&page=1

Nintendo games:
1-Zelda U port for Day One;
2-New Sports game on the line of Wii Sports but with all new, more realistic characters and more minigames built in for Day One;
3-New 3D Mario (possibly Galaxy) for Day One;
4-Retro's game Announcement for either Day One or month 2/3 after release

Third Pary games:
1-Dragon Quest XI confirmation (on par with the PS4 version);
2-Call of Duty whatever for late 2016;
3-Final Fantasy VII Remake;
4-Rocket League;

Final Name: Nintendo Universe
Announcement: March 2016 (the games in June during E3 of course :v)
System Specs: whatever they manage to get with a price of 350/400$ and of course better specs than PS4
Other:
Region Free announcement;
x86 Architecture.
Wheel Trigger as the only Gimmk (maybe a 2016, whireless version of the Zapper would be cool too )

1st party Games
-Metroid
-real Mario 3D (not like 3D World)
-Nintendo Xtrem Sports (mix between 1080°, Wave Race, Excite Bike, Pilotwings)
-New IP AAA by Retro Studios

3rd party Games
-Shadow of the Eternals back as full game exclusive to the NX
-Skies of Arcadia 2
-Jet Set Radio 3
-I don't know, a new IP by a good western studio.

Final Name: I don't really care. Whatever, but no Wii2 or Wii shit

Month: I'd say April, a little more after Zelda TP. No big reveal, just a teasing, then have a big reveal for E3, and a launch for November.

Specs: Same as the other consoles, X86 architecture, 8GB ram, 500GB HDD, blu ray discs.

Online, don't care, WiiU's is good enough IMO, have more online coop/modes in games. Don't make the OS schizophrenic again, we should be able to see what's new on the eshop right when we start the system, stuffs like that.

Get rid of the wiimotes, and the WiiU gamepad, just keep the classic controllers, make it simple again, not an accessory festival where everybody is confused. Make it region free, it's ok if it's bigger than a WiiU
