You just have to plug an external HDD on your PS3 and choose "make a backup" (or something like this) in system menu.
Then you change your internal HDD and choose "retore backup".
Easy you see, you're welcome :)
Got a PS3 second hand for €80 @ 160 gb. Great buy including a smart blu ray player built in and access to ps1 classics which for me is a big deal. I'd get a Wii U for €150 next as I've seen them pop up for that price.
Of course its better than its successor aswell

I Hate REMASTERS
I Hate PLAYSTATION PLUS
I'd go with PC.
Once you start buying games, PC will win out on price, let alone bang-for-your-buck.

If you own a psp or Vita you know you can use the ps3 to stream all those psone games to either handheld for portable play (around the house) can be a great way to go back and enjoy the PS1 titles again. (remote play is an option for some ps3 games... but like... it's very very limited which software works)

For sure. PS3 is a great machine with free online service + Blu-Ray player + vast library of exclusive games and multiplat. Also has PS2 classics and all PS1 game discs can be played on the console.
Chris Hu said: PS+ used to better then GWC on the 360 but its been forever since they actually gave away two good games on the PS3 side. So right now if you just compare PS+ and GWC on the PS3 versus the 360 the 360 side wins easily. Overall the 360 is just more user friendly and the UI is a lot easier. Plus 3rd party games which make up the bulk of both consoles games run for the most part better on the 360. Plus with retail games you can install the entire game on the 360's HDD which gives many of them a slight performance boost. |

When you actually look at both systems side by side for the past 2 months the games are pretty much in line in terms of quality, PS3 titles leading by a few % overall from their metacritic scores but I wouldn't let the blind statments of "psn+ games now are bad!" stop you from actually looking at the titles which are on the service.
Sure there is the odd stinker on one of the 3 platforms which gets games from the subscription but there is also the bonus games if you just happen to own a ps3 where titles come to the ps4 or Vita which also have a ps3 version, often those psn+ licences grant both copies of the game so it can happen where in some months you get 4 titles for the Ps3 rather than the normal 2.
But! Becoming ranty, just wanted to give you the scores and age of the games on both service, in my eyes there isn't an obvious winner (although Deux Ex is amazing imo) But I mean critically based on reviewers.
