I don't know if it's a brand new patend or an update one (i am pretty clueless about these things) but a new patent showed up from Sony that has clickable analog buttons so in other words L3/R3 buttons like the dualshock controller.

Are you sure? Because almost every japanese blog reported it yesterday. I was going to post a link from a japanese blog but then i thought it would be best to post one in english.
Well I would be surprised if they did release another iteration of the console but if it results in lower costs per unit then it makes sense as they will no doubt still be making the console but just in smaller than expected quantities... We shall have to wait and see if anything comes of it
