Forums - Sony - Sony patents a PSVITA with L3/R3 buttons

I don't know if it's a brand new patend or an update one (i am pretty clueless about these things) but a new patent showed up from Sony that has clickable analog buttons so in other words L3/R3 buttons like the dualshock controller.

Pretty sure its not new.
Either way its not happening. I can't see any reason for Sony to make this hardware.

Are you sure? Because almost every japanese blog reported it yesterday. I was going to post a link from a japanese blog but then i thought it would be best to post one in english.

Well I would be surprised if they did release another iteration of the console but if it results in lower costs per unit then it makes sense as they will no doubt still be making the console but just in smaller than expected quantities... We shall have to wait and see if anything comes of it

Yes.. That's exactly what stopped the Vita being the success it was supposed to be.. Clickable analog sticks

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Good hope it becomes reality

They added clickable analogue sticks, but not a regular SD card compatibility? Why?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Does the Vita have R2 and L2? Or did I just buy an older version?

Would be great to see a PS Vita 3000. :)

So PlayStation NX?
