What it looks like: A dildo (parents won't want to buy it for their kids)

I'd call it the Wii Mii U. I'd get rid of discs. The game data needs to be stored and transferred through an amiibo.

That's what Nintendo would do if they wanted to sell less trying to force an Amibo sale instead of a disc. The thing would probably sell a shit load though and Nintendo would announce they're surprised people aren't buying it for the reason they thought but in fact just for the amiibo.

It's a double edged sword really.

Honestly all that doesn't matter.

What will ensure it sells less is ultimately that every generation Nintendo fans move onto a new console, so by pure natural selection it just shrinks.

Let's try a realistic one here:

concept: Console that is more powerful than PS4 but fails to be developer-friendly enough to attract third parties.  Another Nintendo console that doesn't really know what it is... A console whose specs try to bring in mature gamers but whose kid-friendly image is over-powering and drives them away.  Conversely, kids and families aren't interested in it because it costs more than a PS4. 

name: Nintendo Go (name is based on a failed mobile gaming concept that never takes off) 

look: Powerful console under the hood, but asthetically looks generic and does nothing to attract the eye.

games: Great 1st party games, but extremely long software droughts because of a lack of 3rd party support and Nintendo teams are struggling to produce 1080p games in a timely fashion.

controller: WiiMote, Wii U Game Pad and a new controller for the console are all equally compatible.  It is unclear which controller the games are really meant to be played with and consumers get confused in advertisements when they see people holding Wii Motes and think that it is another add-on.

Let's hope that none of this happens...

Design: An extremely glossy console made of glass. It will also look like an Xbone One with a tumor.

Controller: Only PS4 controllers and keyboards will work. have fun trying to use your wii remote.

Games: What's that? You want a new IP from third-party? We'll bring Five Night's at Freddy's then!

Backwards compatibility: The console will not work with NX games. As Iwata-san used to say, "please understand".

Price: With the helps of experts such as Trump, we've agreed on a small pricetag of a million dollars.

lol omg. that design is amazing. it is O themed. so stupid. imagine nitnendo revealing this thing and being so proud of the O. i wonder what the rationale behind that would be? hahah

my god, as much as i would hate seeing my hobby die right before my eyes, seeing how the internet (VGC especially) would react to this would be fucking priceless.
