I completely agree with your #1, I'm playing soul silver now and it's the overall best pokemon experience to me. I really need to try the mystery dungeon games eventually and you should really play Pokémon XD on gamecube, its the closest thing to a 3d pokemon world.

If its Pokemon and I haven't played it trust me, its not by my choice. I'll probably never play those games unless I get extremely lucky.

Wow, someone else that enjoyed IX and VI more than VII and remembered tactics? Awesome :)

I couldn't go earlier than vi as the only game I remember playing in its time was the original. Doesn't seem fair to rank those I didn't have firsthand experience with at the time.

 

Hard to forget Tactics especially since I recorded it for my youtube channel (was my 2nd playthrough of the game too since 10+ years ago) - also an amazing game ;p

Final Fantasy VI is the FF game I played the most in the entire series  - a total of 9 times (7 times on the SNES, one time on the PSX and last year did my first GBA playthrough which I recorded for my youtube channel as well) - I plan to buy the remake on Steam/PC later this year.

Final Fantasy IX I played at least three times and will be my fourth time playing when I get the Steam/PC version when it comes out - I will be recording it for my channel as well :D.

Edit: You should play the remakes of I, II, III, IV and V! They are worth it especially for IV and V!

 

I did actually. I played the first one through on my nes, the second one on the PSP (one of the main reasons I got a PSP along with that rescripted tactics game), and III/IV on the DS. At this point the only one I've not played is V... I'll have to find a remake of it.
