lol. "Lost my chance"? Hardly. I blatantly decided not to apologize because I don't think it merited one.

I bashed your argument by pointing out the holes in it,  and you ignored and cried offense because you knew you had no leg to stand on. Now you shut down the discussion because you have no counter to what I said, you don't want to try to get out of the corner you backed into. so instead crying about hurt feelings. And here you are accusing me of not being constructive.

Hilarious. Way to go.

I didn't even read your retort after that sentence so how could I have no counter to what you said?

You know the fact that you didn't read his reply isn't a good argument against it? Just saying.

I think you did. I think you realized you don't like how your foot tastes, so you're going to pretend its not there.

But hey, whatever floats your boat. You're still the one with your foot in your mouth.

Learn to debate, in a way that doesn't have any possible chance of annoying someone who gets annoyed by clicking a red thumb? I see that being a pretty tough one really

No, I actually didn't read it. And I won't because your first sentence was just that annoying.

Learn to discuss then I'll debate with you.

Again, I'm pretty sure you did.

I have no interest in debating with you if you're going to make up your own terms. I'm not pandering to you and letting you dictate what I should or should not say based on what you feel is annoying, or what hurts your feelings. I really don't care what annoys you or gives you a sad. You're not the king of the castle.

If you want to focus on my debating style, when that really has little bearing on the argument that I was presenting, then you're the one who isn't discussing or debating. You're the one who shut down this discussion. Not me.

There's really nothing more to be said here. I won't pander to you. Read what I said and continue debating or continue to be upset of what I feel is nothing, and leave things as they are. I couldn't care less either way.

Let's talk cognitive dissonance.

You're demonstrating it.

Fin.

No, it's easy. Let me walk you through it.

1) Read what the other person is saying.

2) Don't twist what the person is saying to stickman their argument, especially when it should be more than obvious they are trusting you won't do it.

3) Don't say things like "You failed grade 3 math".

Any other smart things you'd like to add to the conversation or will you continue to pretend like I'm just whining for no reason?

1) You have not read what I am saying.

2) The term you're looking for is "strawman argument" and I have done no such thing.

3) 174 is not greater than 182. I actually think i learned that before Grade 3. If you don't like that, it's not my problem.

But if we're talking about whose adding what to the conversation, you're the one who insists on derailing the thread who created. Perhaps you should follow your own steps a little more closely.

As many others have already said, I can't answer the poll because its so heavily biased and every answer is basically the same.

Why is "troll" being thrown around so much these days? It sucks. Media totally picked it up as the latest "legit" bat to hit people in the head with when they disagree.

Having a different opinion =/= trolling. Stop dehumanizing everyone! Its horrible! And, ofc... it will only lead to more downvotes...

Having a dislike feature is great. Allowing people to air their opinions is great. You could argue that there could be a requirement of providing a description whenever you like or dislike something, but that seems like too much of a hassle.

In the end, if you get a lot of downvotes then that means several people clicked a button. That's it. Whoaaa

This thread is in the website issues section for a reason. We are bang on topic.

Your posting style, that likes to bash arguments without putting in proper thought, has the same root problem as the thumbs down issue. Popularity contests and dick-mesuring contests.

That's why I'm happy we went through this exercise. To show that people like you will take arguments, twist them around, then haggle on terms (which are equivalent, like stickman, strawman), and play at this contest untill we're all blue in the face.

All to prove that a user has cognitive dissonance and that you are the reasonable one.

So, trust me (if you can), this is the right place to do this.

We're on topic by derailing a conversation about the supposed front-loadedness of PS4/X1 sales because you decided your feelings were hurt? Okay then.

I put plenty of thought into my posts. It is not up to you to decide what is or is not proper thought. Sure I twisted your arguments around on you. That was the point. There is norhing inherently wrong with that. That your initial premise makes no sense because of poorly thought out reasoning. So I pointed it out by applying the same poorly thought out reasoning applied to a similar scenario and you instantly argued against it the same way I did to your inital premise but you could not connect that you had just made the very same error. Sorry, that's cognitive dissonance.

You are not the king and this is not your castle. You don't make the rules and you don't get to decide how people interact with you.
