Yes both will comfortably sell way more than that for sure.

Are we including 3DS Sales of DQXI? If so, we're looking at 5M+ for Dragon Quest XI across PS4 and 3DS. Final Fantasy XV should do 1M-1.5M in Japan.

Both games would be considered a bomb if they did not reach it. It should be a comfortable milestone for the each of them.

Unless they mean 1m only on PS4 for DQXI, I don't think that's guaranteed yet.

Not really, since the 3DS version of DQXI will most surely end up eating the sales of the PS4 version, a la SSB4. While FFXV has various factors against it, the continous decline in Final Fantasy sales, that PS4 shouldn't have big hardware numbers by the time it releases and FF isn't exactly a big attach rate series, a bunky development time which includes changing directors, a battle style that may alienate fans, other big name JRPGs coming out in the same year, etc, at the moment we could say that FFXV may be lucky to pass 2 million units sold, DQXI could fare better if the 3DS has been replaced by then, but then again could have it worse if the 3DS successor gets DQXI ported to it.

COMG guide to points: 1 point = Raging. 2 points = Beasting. 3 points = Tearing it up. 4 points = Berzerk. 7 points = Rampage. 12 points = Burst. 15 points = god mode. 20+ points = DIVIDING BY ZERO!!! 40+ points = Youkai (originally Pokemon).
