Wii version was Yuji Naka's original vision of the game.

Wii U version is nothing more than a port of the 3DS version.

I'd say play the Wii version.

I would like to play the Wii version, but for that I would have to buy the WiiU version. If Yuji Naka recommends the Wii version as the best one, why isn't it sold separately?

The creator recommended the Wii version as the best for motion control.

This game is designed for motion, mark my word...

In Europe at least the Wii version is packaged in with the Wii U release. It even has a reversible cover for regular Wii branded packaging.

I bought the Wii U version new on amazon. The wii version was bundled with it!

Thanks. Hadn't seen a listed bundle or the Wii seperate version on Amazon for a while before, but I'll be sure to check again

Wii only version is not available at Amazon.  I've bought the WiiU version I hope that it is still a first print edition so I still have the Wii version as well.  Will keep you posted, should arrived today or tomorrow.

My order arrived, I have both versions and played both until Stage 1.  It is easier and faster to play with the Wii version but the Wii U ain't that bad.  If they realy wanted to support this game, I believe WiiMote for the WiiU version should still be possible.  Not sure why they didn't have that option.

Graphically yes it is just an HD upgrade of the Wii version, which lesser effort than pushing the WiiU to its limit. 

It is somewhat like a Sonic game that you are in the air.  :)

Good fun not sure how long the game would be.  I suggest buy it in Amazon to get both versions, I believe the first print copies are still there.  You'll know for sure that you have the Wii version with it if pick up it up and lift it, you know there are two discs inside. :)
