What is most interesting is the PS4 nearly doubling the Xbone in USA the week of 9th. I mean, assuming vgchartz is reliable, sure.

It's 72,5% if we look at PS4 and XBone only. Because let's be fair, when it comes to most developers they won't be looking at Wii-U anyway. Almost every major multi platform game in the future will only launch on PS4 and XBone when it comes to consoles(until NX releases anyway).

It will interesting to see what exclusives xbox can hold onto.  Last gen when it was 50/50 getting titles like Splinter Cell and dead rising wasn't too bad.  but at 73% ps4 vs x1 on a weekly basis can these devs justify it and can Microsoft justify paying for the loss of the Ps4 profits and then some?  It will be interesting.

I wonder that to, i think we will see atleast less XBone exclusives. I do hope most games will still remain muli-platform(hopefully on NX to), i think that is best for the industry and the gaming community. PS4 and XBone aren't that different so i don't think it gives much benefit to develope a game exclusively for PS4, but it will be the leading platform developers focus on.

especially after Tomb Raider and other X1 exclusives have flopped pretty hard and even being marketed as a multiplat for PS4 seems to garner gonzo sales I just can't see anything other than owned devs making exclusives while PS4 seems to just strengthen both their 1st and 3rd party lineups at every major conference.

When you have the conferences they had last year, the sales momentum they've had since the start of the gen, and the exclusives they keep piling up both first and 3rd party, I just don't see how you could NOT dominate. The competition hasn't exactly wowed either and the elimination of Nintendo mindshare didn't hurt Playstation either. Xbox is getting there in Europe as well. Kinda strange that I still run into so many Xbox gamers even being in the US they really seem to like their kinect.

X1 are VERY close to Vita numbers post holiday....didn't expect that this soon after Halo 5 tbh.

Speaking of Vita numbers...not bad all things considered.

It's only the first week, but it is impressive! Will be interesting to see how the rest of the month goes...

I think it's just the sales of 2016 between all 3 and not the total sold.
