Forums - Nintendo - StarFox Zero possibly delayed to July 2016?

Delays and Nintendo have gone hand in hand since the N64 days. This is especially noticeable when 3rd party support dropped off around that time too. I remember having a Nintendo 64 and essentially just kept replaying Goldeneye whilst waiting for new games to come out while the PS1 was getting heavy hitters almost monthly. I don't see this trend every changing.

With the announcement of Pokken coming in March, this delay is looking all the more likely; I can't see Nintendo stacking Twilight Princess HD, Pokken, and Starfox Zero all within less than two months when they have so few games for 2016.

That would mean nothing but SMTxFE, Mario & Sonic at the Rio Olympics, and indie games for the 7 months between Starfox in April and Zelda in November. Even by 8th gen Nintendo standards, that's a nasty dry spell.

What does one thing have to do with the other? NOTHING.

If Nintendo stack TPHD, Pokken, and Starfox all in March/April, all they'll have for the rest of the year is SMTxFE, Mario & Sonic, and Zelda U.

3 games in 8 months ain't good.

You don't know about the release schedule, pokken being march still changes nothing about others possible release dates and two months later wouldn't make much difference for the whole schedule.

If if needs delayed, delay it. Platinum is the only shining light in the black abyss of third parties.

It's about spacing. When you have as few releases per year as Nintendo does this gen, it makes more sense to pace them consistently than to fart them all out at once followed by months of nothingness.

Thats kinda bad. Is the Wii U going to cross another 6 month desert? *shrugs*

Not really. It'll have TPHD, Genei Ibun Roku #FE and Pokkén during this semester. But yeah, hopefully the delay doesn't take that long.

Would love it if Genei came out in the first semester, but i'm not betting on it. I guess there is Zelda and Pokkén becomes the spring game i guess. Starfox is the summer game and Zelda the fall game.

It has everything to do as Nintendo is padding the few releases during the year.

Maybe they will have NX formally revealed in June so they want these relatively big games to get enough attention & sales before the reveal.

So no Massive Dumps for Nintendo, got it.

4 games in 3 months followed by E3 get that covered. we'll see more games announced even if they're small.

LOL

What do you mean with this? Are the rest of 3rd parties worthless?
