Nintendo is still stuck in the age of cartoon mascots while Sony recognizes that today's gamers want M-rated blockbusters.

So..........are u admitting u contradicted yourself or just gonna ignore it? Maybe u should start explaining yourself a little better instead of making statements that have nothing to do with your point.

There is no contradiction.
PS4 appeals to today's mainstream gamers, so it sells well.
Wii U does not appeal to today's mainstream gamers, so it sells poorly.
It's really that simple.

But that's not what u originally said, which was that Nintendo is failing because they act like it's 1995 while ignoring that PS4 is nothing but a 2013 version of a device released in 1994/1995. Ur original statement and the point u were trying to make are unrelated to one another. U 100% contradicted yourself which is why I'm saying u need to do a better job at saying what you mean.

1995 was the era of cartoon mascots.
Nintendo is still stuck in this age.
Sony has moved on to focussing M-rated blockbusters.
PS4 sales vs Wii U makes it pretty clear which approach works better.

The mid-90s were also an age of shooter/sports/racing/action games and the introduction of consoles as multimedia devices, that perfectly describes PS4.
Again, ur original comment about 1995 makes no sense. You can't say someone failed because they act like it's 1995 then ignore that the market leader follows the exact same strategy they have been using since 1995, that is by definition a contradiction.
