Despite what everyone says..@ u guys above^

It is a he'll of a time! Online multiplayer is the king of the game and probably the reason steam is only getting multiplayer. Nothing better than winning a sword fight and cutting the mother .......er who was flame throwing you earlier in half with your katana or ax. Or taking people out with the flame thrower is always fun to. It takes them longer to respawn and you watch them burn alive.

Seige is the pinnacle of its online. It has elements of Fallout. You build your base, get a clan that can easily find you and join your base then you either defend it or go on the offense. Once the battle starts you can call in air support ala COD as well. Shoot them down too if you want.

There is battle royal, a king of the mountain mode, fruit tossing mode, chicken catching, team death match, etc. Live messaging is available as well. No glitchingor frame Rate problems either.

Solo campaign is fun, I see some frame Rate problems and It is not always a huge open world, but Ivans story is cool as well!

Really hard to see why it does not at least have an average 8 on meta. Seriously. I know most my games I play are crap such as meme run. I'll admit it. This game however is not!

While this may drift into the off topic area, he is right. It's really good for what it wants to be.

I was playing Smash Bros when I learned Iwata-san died.

He was a great man. So sad he couldn't finish his fight his cancer.

It really made me sit down and appreciate everything. I mean, he died during the middle of the Wii U-he just finished announcing the new Federation Force game, and everyone was hating on him.

Truly sad a great legacy had to end with him hearing all the hate. Just made me more glad I don't whine over anything I don't like. Helps me appreciate things(and people) when they're still here.

Beautiful comment.

I have such good memories playing Nintendoland, Just Dance and NSMBU with my friends. :)

The highlights of the system for me is just the software. For the most part, I disliked their Wii IP. I bought and played most of them, but motion controls left a sour taste in my mouth. There's nothing like playing a core game like Zelda and having to deal with inaccurate controls, no matter how seldom. So, getting to play with buttons again was a joy for me.

Oh, and Splatoon. Better than 343 Halo. Better than COD. This is the game Nintendo has needed for a long, long time and it should receive marque status in the further.

Wii U- First time that I do not have a bitch wife, the army or low pay to hold me back from just going crazy on a system!!! 120 plus games, 1,000's of gaming hours later, 1,000's of internet and miiverse and eshop hours later as well and there you have it.

lol. I feel ya on the whole bitch wife thing. My ex left me for another guy, then out of spite, decided to sell off most of my vintage systems and games along with a huge collection of childhood baseball cards. I lost my Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, N64, NES, SNES, PS1... and like I said, tons of rare, expensive games for all of them. After all these years, I'm now finally managing to get them back.

I have a hot little GF right now who is also a gamer, but I'll never get cleaned out like that again. The word marriage now insights spontaneous laughter whenever I hear someone suggest it. It's like, just... no. lol

OMG!!! What a nightmare! O.O

My best Wii U moment was my first online race in Mario Kart 8. It felt fantastic!

Bayonetta 2 announced as an exclusive. (After the shittiness of E3 2012, this was the thing that finally got my pumped for the system)

The reveal of Xenoblade Chronicles X.

Splatoon defying the odds and becoming a smash hit.

I'm a fan of itagaki, but i'm having a hard time convincing myself to buy the game. is it worth it?

No, it most certainly is not.

The controls are clunky, the framerate runs like a three-legged hippo, combat is shallow and dull, and the whole thing is just a tacky bore, like the video game equivalent of a straight-to-video crapfests like Snakes on a Train or Anaconda 4.

Do not listen to him onionberry. Why? Oh, because he watched a video of some kid playing it in his mothers basement with a 56 k modem. Curl or whoever it is above who post this really has no idea about the game. In fact I think I will make a thread announcing that anyone paying attention to some dude who based his hatred of a game off some random youtube video, is dead ass backwards. Now if you want to know anything about....splatoon.....Mario KArt 8 and possibly SMash U then by all means ask curl all about it since that is probably the only wii u games that he plays. Like many on this site.

WHAT NOW BRO!

I've played the first mission; unless the controls, framerate, combat, VA, writing, etc all change drastically from the second mission onwards, (all the footage I have seen indicates they do not) then I don't need to play any more to know it's not going to be worth my time and money. And the playthroughs I've seen were by very thorough players who almost never died and went out of their way to find collectables.

Maybe we just need to come to terms with the fact that you love the game, I hate it, and that's okay.

As to playing only Mario Kart and Splatoon, I own and have extensively played a wide range of Wii U games, from Bayonetta 2 to Lego City, ZombiU to Hyrule Warriors, Fatal Frame 5 to Rayman Legends, Call of Duty to Sonic Racing Transformed.

My best Wii U moment might be when I went on a $500 eShopping spree. Or when I used the touchscreen to play ZombiU. Or possibly when I played punch-Out!! Wii VC. A lot of favorite moments were with friends on Miiverse. News of Devils third and demons crest. XenobladeX. I could be here all day. Three years of magic moments.

Allan-nicole?

yup. that love story over MiiVerse. lol.

saw your post about your ex-wife, it would really be hard for a gamer to have a wife that is unsupporting on what you like plus the fact she ain't doing her part on cleaning the house while you are working hard.  feel for you bro. :)
