Hmmmm...... alright, have a look at this:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/2664337.stm

34 months after the launch of the PS2 in Japan (March 2000-January 2003), the system had reached 50 million. The PS4 has been on the market for 26 months (on Jan 15). So, it would need to sell 14 million units by September. Can it do it? Anyone?

It ll be close...  too close to call.

Depends on how much you think the PS4 will sell in 2016.

If its a 20million sold year, and its holidays are slightly lower than 2015, but its non holidays are slightly bigger, because of bigger releases early year... it could happend. Uncharted would need to set the world on fire, sales wise.

I dont think its  going to happend, buts its not outsides the realms of possibilities.

Nothing weak about my argument. Your argument is nothing but excuses really. $50 price cut excuse, 299.99 excuse why can't we just stick to reality. Ps4s first price cut is $50 so deal with it. We don't know when it will get to 299.99. If next year then no doubt it will sell more next year if not then it will run into market saturation. This price nonsense was used all Gen last Gen and ps3 never truly took off lol despite price cuts. It was suppose to crawl to 100 remember?

I'm curious, what exactly is there to excuse? And your "reality" is a mere viewpoint. Not something factually irrefutable (which is what I asked you for).

And the PS3 never took off, after everything applied to it (or taken off of it)? Got it. I guess it just caught up to the 360 while napping its way along.

Idk you tell me, you're the one making the excuses. Sounds like you are excusing the performance not being as record breaking as you thought? My viewpoint is reality not hopes and dreams of a 100 dollar price cut instead. You did mention the price cut being 50 instead of 100 did you not? Sounds like a dream to me.

So the lead is certainly fading, not exactly sure how this is a good thing that points to beyond ps4 getting above 110M?

It seems the wall was straight ahead and this has slammed into it. Oh well.

What exactly is your question? Instead of dancing around it?

Well, I'd say it's encouraging at least.  Few, if any, of Sony's heavy hitters have hit the market yet.  Many due for 2016.  Granted, we'll have to wait and see how 2016 turns out, but if Sony releases all the games they currently have slated for 2016, there'll be plenty of reasons for people to pick one up.

Sony heavy hitters aren't very heavy.

Huh? O_o

He means shipment I think ...

Saleswise I think this gen will end a lot like gen 5

PS4 = PS1
Xbone = N64
WiiU = Saturn

PS4 should be a little over PS1 and xbone should be a little over 64 too. Wii U under Saturn.

You've quoted me enough to know my question. Now, why not refute it with something other than responding to questions with questions. In a nutshell, why will the PS4 decline YO?

Go!

In my very first quote I answered that.

Could be worse, they could be scrambling to make new hardware 3 yrs after launch :)
