Forums - Nintendo - Let's Bring Back NX Threads

I vote we adopt a Fight Club mechanic regarding the NX.

Rule 1: We don't talk about the NX.
Rule 2: We don't talk about the NX.
Rule 3: If a mod says "stop" or suffers brain death from reading the thread, it gets closed.
Rule 4: Only two forum posters to a vague, speculative fight.
Rule 5: One fight at a time.
Rule 6: Clothing is optional on the other side of the computer monitor.
Rule 7: Fights will go on as long as they can until somebody gets too bitchy.
Rule 8: If this is your first post in an NX thread, you have to aggressively speculate.

@Chazore: lol. I had similar thoughts.

OT: I agree on going with something like the news articles. I ended up tired of seeing two, three or more threads about the same piece of "news" about NX.

Some control is necessary for the site and for our mental health.

Please excuse my bad English.

I see NX threads. But they're terrible, total derailed threads. If threads are getting locked, than that may be leading those posters to derail other NX threads.

The solution is to not post duplicate threads, and not to lock threads that are not duplicates. This should make NX topics more readable.

Why is nobody talking about QoL anymore? =P

Did the official NX thread die or something? D:

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

We're in 2016. Soon enough we'll hear some real information about the NX. Mindless speculation need continue no more. Gosh, it was only a few weeks ago there was someone who said the exact date they felt the NX would release on as if it were fact. We don't even know what year, let alone date!

I don't see the problem with more threads. When there is a thread titled about something that just came out today, people will click it and go back to the website to see updates/responses to it. When new information is in some generic thread, people won't know that and won't be drawn to it. Imo more threads = more clicks and higher traffic.

I thought there was already an official thread for NX rumors?

But, the issue with one big thread, is that it suffers from the same issues of other Nation threads, meaning that rumors will get buried easily and people may not even see the post that you had, which is why people prefer to create a new thread that will more likely be seen

It doesn't really matter to me, but I'm just pointing out some things

I say make an official NX rumors thread and hand it to someone who is passionate about the subject of Nintendo's next console. Someone who will maintain it well, updating the title with the latest rumors as they surface thus lowering the odds of having someone making a new thread.

You solve pretty much all of your problems that way.

Yep, the official thread should never been assigned to theprof because that thread was a convoluted mess from the beginning.
