I would just laugh at the fool who gave me the PS2. I would buy the Wii U next year when it has another huge price cut.

Reminds me of a story a few years back when a costumer bought a computer from Best Buy (or may have been Circuit City), then returned it saying there were only potatoes in the box. So, they gave them a new one, and the very next day they came back claiming the same thing, so they were given a 3rd one. Well, the manager was told about the 2nd box of potatoes and he got suspicious and called the cops. They searched the persons home and found 3 brand new computers in their house that matched the ones from the store. They got arrested.

Basically, you can never tell if the store messed up or the customer claiming they got ripped off is scamming you.

I got shafted the same way by Walmart mexico... thing is I didnt receive the package, coz i work out of my town, and my parents dont know what what supposed to be in the box (a ps4 and a Guitar Hero Live combo), so the Guitar Hero was there, but the PS4 box was empty... It took me 2 months and a demand against walmart to get my money back... When I came home and lifted the Walmart box I knew at that moment what terror really means...

Good thing I have my money back and they let me keep the Guitar Hero pack... So now I have 2 empty boxes of PS4 (first one was stolen in a trip) a lot of PS4 games, 4 controllers, accesories, and Still no PS4 Xp... planning on fix it ASAP once Im back at home in about a week...

The walmart clerks look at me funny when I immediately open whatever electronics come in a box or case. As soon as the receipt is in my hands, I'm opening that sucker up. I learned that lesson the hard way years ago. If I'm midnight shopping I'll make the clerk stand there and watch.

I remember buying 4 Disney Infinity bundles for $18 each from an online error at a Walmart a few years ago. Normally priced at $75 each. I love Walmart. 😍

Also on topic, that is pretty harsh, but yeah I guess the store wants its employee's to not go ripping open these boxes to make sure the consoles are all in place because like others said in the thread it would make it more difficult to resell as a new system after having ripped it open to make sure it's all there.

Also a lot of (not so) sly digs at the Wii-U here suggesting the ps2 was better than it, obviously in terms of what was expected and wanted by the kid (and the massive difference in actual cost of the systems envolved) the ps2 was not a better deal, just because it was a system which sold a lot of units, it also probably has a lot less processing power in it than a 3ds nevermind a Wii-U. If going to drop comments like these against the system based on previous gen sales keep in mind would the same be true that a SNES inside the box of a ps4 would be a better deal for the consumer because the system sold almost double the units of the ps4 so far?

lol well Walmart is a shit store and a shit corporation run by a shit CEO. I'd suggest not buying your video game material there in the first place. If you have a local gaming store, support that. If not, use Amazon. Those choices will get you the best customer service

PS2 is significantly worse than Wii U for that since you can't buy games in conventional ways. It doesn't matter how large the library is if you can't buy games you're looking for.

Ps2 instead of a wii u? I call that an upgrade :)
