Probably, instal base will be around 3x bigger when TP HD arrives than when WW had arrived.

I hope so, plus the Amiibo will suck another group of people to it I guess...
Don't think so.
It's less of a visual upgrade and you can already play Twilight Princess on a Wii U with the Wii version.
I think it'll be 1 million max. Wind waker is at about 1.5.
People are saying there's a bigger install base now. Except that doesn't mean much with Nintendo games because games like Mario, Mario Kart and Zelda continuous sell well, long after release. The people who buy the console later tend to go back and buy them. So the install base is for all intents and purposes more or less the same.
It certainly shouldn't with all it has going against it. The visual upgrade isn't as noticeable, it probably wont be bundled since there are plenty of other more bundle worthy games now, it'll start being overshadowed by Zelda U in at most 4 months from TPHDs release then completely overshadowed in 8 months following Zelda U's release, and, well, you can already play Twilight Princess on your Wii U, so only really hardcore fans would buy it, probably.
Tough to call.
Normally, I'd say TP easily, but it's launching at the end of Wii U's life, so it won't get as much legroom as WW.
Also, WWHD was more noticeably upgraded, while TPHD has more of the look of a rushjob. A lot of people have voiced disappointment over the lack of a more thorough visual upgrade for TP, and this could affect sales.

On 30. September they were 1.6m.

https://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/en/sales/software/wiiu.html 1.62m up to september 30. I think they'll keep updating it no matter what as long as it stays in the WiiU's top 10 or be mentioned in their quarterly reports if it sold over a million in the given period time (which it won't have obviously).
EDIT: Why don't URL thingies work anymore? You know: [ url=...] and stuff?
mZuzek said: I don't think so, nah. Lots of people are disappointed with the remake (well we're all buying it regardless, but still), and Zelda Wii U is coming out just 8 months later to rip its legs off. That, and I think the Wii U audience isn't necessarily more geared towards the realistic Zeldas. I figure TPHD will do somewhere around 1.5m lifetime, just below WWHD. |
Actually I think Zelda U hype will help to sell better TP HD.
