This is a pet peeve of mine.  Like you said, many people bragged about the game in list wars etc. When it came time, just didn't care if the game even existed. Didn't buy it.  Didn't play it. Using a list to say "my console is awesome" when the reality is that the games in that list don't appeal to you.  Don't know what to say about that.

For all of the hype a game like (for example) Crackdown 3 is receiving, I hope a few "List Warriors" actually put their money where their mouths are.

Unfortunately I can see Crackdown 3 doing poorly as well... it's one of those "Forum" games where people shout it loudly, but when push comes to shove, it wont sell very well at all..., I've got my fingers crossed for Quantumn break, because I really like Remedy as a studio, but after Alan Wakes sales (and it was a great game)... I really dont hold out much hope.

As you say, for all the "best games" lists and comparisons, it doesnt matter if no one goes out and actually buys the games... and thats I think what people are trying to say about Tomb Raider. I keep seeing people claiming it's not CD fault, or that its game of the generation, or it's the best game this year...so people should buy it one way or another... but if you are going to prevent a bigger and probably more supportive community of TR from getting the game, then it's certainly not the fault of PS4 users.

I may get hassle for saying this, but I've always considered the people who buy Sony consoles to be a little more generous with their gaming money and dont mind trying something different, while MS users not so much.

You may be right. Especially this gen.  With the original Xbox, I have no experience so I can't speak.  With the 360, at least for the first several years, Xbox players spent tons of money on diverse software libraries.  With the Xbox One, people don't seem to want to support anything but a few select franchises.  The attach rate seems to be way down.  That's how it feels, at least.

But then again, even if these List Warriors all bought the game it would be like a handful of sold copies :) Those list fights are indeed funny, I understand that it's appealing for some to have lots to choose from, but I think average gamer only has time to play few games each year.

Yes totally correct. I've made this argument before, when people talk about attach rates, they used to be in the low 3-4 games per console. Which is a pretty low number. On the whole gamers buy very few games a year, this is why exclusives at the wrong time at Xmas is a problem (and an exclusive in the middle of a packed xmas next to fallout... well stupid is the word), because there isnt enough money to go around. I got, Fallout 4, Just Cause, AC Sydnicate, SW battle front, Knack..haha, and some other games on the cheap, but still looking at maybe £250+ spent on games. This is why I found the whole "Xbox One best games list" quite silly, because they were going up against 3rd party games which were big this year (Fallout and SW BF, also COD). Next year will be worse I think, so any company who decides to put most of their games in the Xmas period will also get short change from their games.

It does, but Xbox isn't getting that much software sales from Europe now and... dare I even mention it...  what about digital sales?

People, we should support the industry when they treat us right. This is a game that should be supported by everyone.

seriously? you are saying the way square treated its Tomb Raider fanbase is "treating us right"? LOL

February 2016 for Xbox One and April 2016 for PC should have been the dates. Tomb Raider will eventually make a profit before the game even touch PS4, but Tomb Raider should have had a window to itself to allow maximum exposure.

With Halo 5, Fallout 4, COD: BO 3, it was too crowded of a window for Tomb Raider to reach it sales potential.

I should have explained myself better with that statement

I meant Crystal Dynamics when i said that, it is a shame that all their effort went down the drain because of a shitty deal between Ms and Square!

Can you imagine how bad it must feel for the people that worked in the game to see it is fucking flopping? Ugh...

This deal is going to be remembered as the thing that (probably?) killed the TR franchise, and i hope that those executives that signed the deal are fucking regretful about it.

Im so sad that this game is being treated like a third rate whore honestly...

It is a shame that even Xbox guys are looking past this gem.

If you dont have a X1, buy it for PC this january. If you have a Ps4, dont miss it next holidays.

If the Tomb Raider Reboot, with 3.4 million copies sold failed to reach Squares target this game must be considered a HUGE BOMBA for them.

Not only that, how can the game make a profit before releasing on the Ps4 when:

A) It is still selling poorly, and

B) The game is already on the bargain bin.

From all aspects this game is a huge flop.

Having played both the Reboot and this game, i can surely say that this game had a bigger budget than the first which makes things worst.

It is a shame that people who worked very hard on the game will probably be screwed over because of it, but again that's not really anything we can do about that. Should we go and buy the game and support the poor decisions of the people who made the decision, for me that is sending the wrong message. We dont know how the people at CD are being treated, if they got bonus's or lots of praise then it wont matter. If they get screwed over out of that then thats a different matter, but we dont know, so we cannot really comment.

You can pretty much accept that anyone who made the decision will be perfectly fine though, because they always are....lol.

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

I will get it. I know its awesome. But the release as we all know was awful. I have to get through Fallout 4 before I get to it...imagine all the other gamers who brought Battlefront, COD and AC Syndicate as well. Its gonna take time to get to it, but it will have my (albeit cut-price by then) monies eventually.
