This is a pet peeve of mine.  Like you said, many people bragged about the game in list wars etc. When it came time, just didn't care if the game even existed. Didn't buy it.  Didn't play it. Using a list to say "my console is awesome" when the reality is that the games in that list don't appeal to you.  Don't know what to say about that.

For all of the hype a game like (for example) Crackdown 3 is receiving, I hope a few "List Warriors" actually put their money where their mouths are.

But then again, even if these List Warriors all bought the game it would be like a handful of sold copies :) Those list fights are indeed funny, I understand that it's appealing for some to have lots to choose from, but I think average gamer only has time to play few games each year.

Yes totally correct. I've made this argument before, when people talk about attach rates, they used to be in the low 3-4 games per console. Which is a pretty low number. On the whole gamers buy very few games a year, this is why exclusives at the wrong time at Xmas is a problem (and an exclusive in the middle of a packed xmas next to fallout... well stupid is the word), because there isnt enough money to go around. I got, Fallout 4, Just Cause, AC Sydnicate, SW battle front, Knack..haha, and some other games on the cheap, but still looking at maybe £250+ spent on games. This is why I found the whole "Xbox One best games list" quite silly, because they were going up against 3rd party games which were big this year (Fallout and SW BF, also COD). Next year will be worse I think, so any company who decides to put most of their games in the Xmas period will also get short change from their games.
