Forums - Nintendo - Went to the Nintendo experience at my local mall yesterday - Lines were everywhere!

I believe that this is a very effective marketing method, because 1) these kids have a pretty fun time, 2) along with many other players enjoying it as well - which strengthens their experience even more because of integration and affinity effects - 3) along with even more people watching them play, and 4) parents see it, too, and parents see other parents, too, and they all will see how their kids' eyeys shine and  how they are having a great time, so they will think positive of these games. Kids and parents alike will keep this memory in their minds, have it attached to positive feelings and are likely to talk about that with others. And that's how you start a bushfire. Well played, Nintendo.

Things are getting a bit steamy here. Guys you're going to have to get back on topic and stop fighting or else I'll have to lock the thread. If you want to argue, take it to wall posts or PMs, but not here

No it was my fault it went off topic and I'm not posting in here again so it will be OK.  Apologies to the OP!

Im a hardcore Nintendo fan, but tbh what you said wasnt even that bad. I didnt see that many lines either, im sure there was but i can unerstand why you asked. So idk if people are sensetive here.

Don't mean to be rude but where are these lines?

Each time you step into a nintendo thread you take a jab. I a fine with that because I do it as well. But someone on this site iS eventually going to take issue with what you do and turn a fun experience into something not so pleasant.

The big picture was earlier in the day. I was there for 4 hours.

Seriously, it's sad. Nintndo has enough troubles as it is. At least celebrate some kind of victory they get.

TEchnically the topic is I did not take pictures of the lines. Just reporting that they were there. The only real wide angle screen you can see was when I first got there from the top floor. AS you can see there is a massive line on the right hand side. At the time I was not actually there for the event. I was there shopping and while my GF was in Victoria secret buying whatever she was buying for an  hour I stopped at ARgo tea, bought a chai tea and a spinach quiche, then raced over there to see what was up and ask a question, get some swag. I took a few quick pictures to show everyone not actually caring about the line.

I dont care about the lines you didnt take a picture from nor what did you drink (or didnt) that day. Give me a break, the issue here is how you and your buddy approached to a simple question

I went to the one in Tysons Corner, it was alright, but somewhat underwhelming, mainly cause I already own most of the games they featured, including Smash, Splatoon, and Yoshi.

I got a free amiibo and Pokemon poster tho, which was neat.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
