Forums - Nintendo - Itagaki: Devil's Third is getting criticized because it's innovative

I feel sorry for him. If he can't recognize that he made a bad game, he won't be able to avoid making the same mistakes in the future.

Why does it look like a ps2 game?

It's Innovation!

When you work on a game for years, you tend to deny criticism of the final product, regardless of whether that criticism is valid

Being a turd isn't innovative enough, sorry. :(

Yes , fuck the reviewers and critics, Miiverse loved it !!! They even draw like 10 pics of the game !!! GOTY

Exactly. Miiverse, the main force behind the Wii U loves it. Is that not who developers should be targeting? They must think so since they are on miiverse all the time giving minor interviews, advertising, and just mingling with the common folk. And yeah, Fuck critics, they are as useful as union's and black powder guns. Which means they are an ancient practice just there to get hits now days. They play so many games they do not know what fun is anymore.

Miiverse is not the main force behind Wii U. A strong majority of people owning the console don't give a rat's ass about it. Also, you have to realize that professional game critics are human beings with opinions too. The difference between you and them is that they need to look at a game objectively. They understand whether the developer did a bad job and if we should all be supporting them for their project. So that maybe they'll get off their asses and start making better games that will sell better because the people read that the game was actually worth something and has good quality.

bet: lost

how many of the people criticizing the game have actually played it?
I haven't, but I still plan to.
I have heard a lot of mixed stuff about it. Much seems dependant on what they want from it.
A few tech hiccups won't bother me for the most part, it's about fun for me.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

I heard that Devil's Third was actually decent. Have the people on this thread that claim it "sucks" even played the game? Or are they just jumping on the internet wagon?

Yrp, pioneers are always crucified. Just look at all the crap Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Super Mario Bros, Metal Gear Solid, and Metroid Prime took. Oh wait...
