Buy the PlayStation X day one and play halo on it.

Would make my life a little simpler.

That would be nice, but I fear one core platform isn't gonna be good for consumers.

Instead I'd like to see Nintendo and MS work together. We need Mario and Halo on one console.

I don't need to provide you with it. It's on this very site. They announced backward compatibility, and now they sell you the games. If you already own the disc, it's useless.

And there is evidence, but it is on a site I boycott, so unless you're alright with me quoting the forums or providing the keywords, I will not link to it...

They never promised backwards compatibility. Just that they'd bring PS2 games on PS4 with emulation. That's a misinterpretation on your part ...

Quoting the forums isn't enough, I want a source ...

No evidence just means FUD spreading in the end ...

Every single site out there has thrown the backwards compatibility word around to hell and back. Whether you technically believe it is not backwards compatibility is not my problem.

NIS said it. I can't and won't link that damned site that seems to have the interview. Look it up, it's the first link in the results.

"Each SCE unit has its own evaluation process; SCEE, for example, approved Billy the Wizard for its consumers but SCEA did not. The company sometimes imposes additional restrictions, such as when it prohibited PlayStation 1 and 2 games from being ported to the PSP without 30% of content being new to the Sony console."

"This set of controls enables you to identify the types of mature content in your game. It's very important that you classify your game accurately. Others will review your game and verify your ratings. According to their evaluations, they'll either approve or reject your game from Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Roll over the slider controls to understand what each category means. Set the sliders based on the content in your game."

MS approval relies on user ratings and genre.

It is your problem because that just means your premise wasn't right to begin with ...

SCE does restrict content but can you prove that SCEA or Sony in your initial claim is specifically targeting VNs ?

Say goodbye to creative endeavors and say hello to milking things. Essentially a dominant first party version of EA.

My premise is going off what everyone says...

And I am NOT going to link the site that has the interview. YOU search for it. All you have to do is type "NIS visual novels SCEA" and click on the second link...

And do you know any text novels published by SCEA then ?

Published? No. They approve whether companies can localize them or not. The games they have published are anything but VNs...

Actually brother, he is kinda right. To be more specific its regarding VN on the PSP.

Why do I know this? As you all know, I'm a die hard fan of Sakura Taisen, a JRPG with mecha & dating simulation gameplay that was originally released on the Saturn.

Its not exactly straight up VN like Danganronpa but its pretty close and the reason Sakura Taisen 1 & 2 (PSP) did not see any western release is because Sony USA did not want the PSP to turn into a VN device which they believed at that time had no market in the west. I cannot find the statement by NISA anymore but this is what happened. (You guys may have better Google luck than I do)

Of course Sony USA no longer have these idiotic view since as you can see VN has been coming in to their console and Sakura Taisen 5 did come out on the PS2.

So what does this tell us? The SHOW MUST GO ON!

As far as I know, they still hold the view, but are allowing companies that publish games some leeway to publish a few, and they are all otome VNs! If you wanted even more niche games, there you have them!

Well, at least we'll see Crash again....

.....On project Spark. lel
