While this was easily the best of the Star Wars movies, it isn't quite as good as Avatar. Let's be real, Avatar takes sci-fi film to the next level, Star Wars was very dumbed down in comparison. Avatar is still a much bigger and more impressive experience.

I enjoyed the force  awakens a lot but it is not the best star wars film. avatar was a bland, cliched mess with poor characters, bad dialogue and the most predictable and dull plot i have seen in a while. theres a reason that its had such a small affect on popular culture despite its huge boxoffice.

It should pass Avatar by Wednesday or Thursday, domestically of course. WW still seems a bit improbable.

as of friday it is at 686.4 million, avatar is at 760.5, you think its going to take between 5-6 days for it to make 74.1 million? it made 34.5 yesterday and should have over 40 million today and between 20-30 million on sunday. at the absolute latest it will pass it out by monday.

IM gona make my prediction official (since IM listed as 2.0001 billion hehe) and say this movie is gona make 2.2 billion, second bigest box office in history but it wont reach avatar. its not doing as good on the rest of the world than it is on the USA (due mostly to unfavorable exchange rates).

It won't increase today since yesterday was a holiday it acts as a Saturday, also Sunday will drop down a lot, probably to 20 million like you said due to the holidays ending and people traveling back home, kids getting ready for school etc.

I see it like this 686.4 million as of end of Friday, 36 million Saturday bringing it to around 723m than 20 million on Sunday will bring it to 743 but lets round up to 745, that leaves only 15 million, I don't see it doing that on Monday, especially since the hoidays are over. I hope it does it by Monday, but I am being a bit conservative and will go with Wednesday.

Either way, Avatar domestically is going down soon. 800 million and probably the 900 million mark as well. 1 billion domestic?

Titanic global should be possible as well.

900 million is a lock, 1 billion will be tough though, this upcoming weeks hold will be telling though.

I predict 2.4b worldwide, 1.05 domestically.

I'm thinking it will end around that ball park as well, around 2.4-2.5 billion.

Honestly I'm not so sure since I rarely follow movie sales like now... but considering it apparently did 35 million in friday, it's looking like it can do 1.2B. If the chinese people goes crazy with the movie maybe surpassing Avatar is still possible (I really hope that happens)
