Why don't you put aside the faux outrage and just debate the very valid point I made.

I'm not even mad, just disappointed with the shots long after. It's like you tell someone to let go and yet they don't let go.

Also Chinese games really?.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
Lol this guy creates a thread like this and doesn't even participate in it once. Also, I'm not even surprised by who created this. The only ones that think exclusives are bad, are PC gamers and the ones commenting that they agree are also PC gamers, basically proving my point.

He always does that and he barely replies to anyone's quotes or replies to one of his opinions.

Exclusive games are a good thing. Developers can concentrate solely on one platform and don't need to waste time to port that game on other platforms. It's a shitload of work! Every build has to be tested on other platforms, developers have to think about what this system can do and the other can't. The result is the lowest common denominator which isn't using the capabilities of any system. Exclusive games can just screw other systems and make full use of a specific hardware. Which is why Uncharted 4 for example would have never looked as good as it does right now if it was multiplat. But it's not just graphics, developers also have more time for concentrating on gameplay and creating more content.
Just take a look at the old days of SNES and Genesis. Back then, virtually EVERY title was exclusive. Even if there was a multiplatform title, it tended to be completely different on the other platform. It didn't hurt one bit. The games were absolutely great on both machines and until this very day, you can identify a game as a SNES game or a Genesis game. They exploited the systems capabilities like there's no tomorrow. Try doing that in a few years with saying if a game is running on PC, PS4 or X1. Good luck with that.
The only downside are some pissed fanboys who refuse to buy a certain system for games they want to play. But really, screw them. I want the absolute best games I can possibly get. And those are almost always exclusive titles.

Console exclusivity was once a normal thing, if you think at the time of super nintendo and ps one, the positive effect is the developer can concentrate the game on one platform, and this games are "normally" better than multi platform games
| Azzanation said: Ok so after reading the news, im hear to discuss and want to be explained what the difference is with Exclusives and moneyhatting? In the article below we read about Sony's *Partnership* with Kojima. http://www.vgchartz.com/article/262543/sony-announces-partnership-with-hideo-kojima-first-game-is-ps4-console-exclusive/ What difference is Kojima partnering up with Sony or CD partnering up with MS apart from the Timed exclusiveness. Now before you start blasting me about this deal being completely different, let me explain something. When a game comes out on 1 platform and isnt allowed on another console, its moneyhatting regardless on how you look at it. Kojima wouldnt be partnering up with Sony if it wasnt for the money, people dont work for free. Clearly Sony got in before anyone else to secure his next game. MS got in with CD to secure there next big game (Tomb Raider) before anyone else. Only difference is MS went for a multiplat game which explains why its not a permnament exclusive. What are the joys in this deal with Kojima with Sony if you dont own a PS4 or PC? The gaming community needs to get there head out from there @£$ and look at the bigger picture. A deal is a deal, using the word partnership is the biggest load of garabe that poisons the industry. So now all we get is a bunch of Kojima fans who dont own a PC or PS4 that will miss out on his next product much like Sony's deal with SF5 or a year wait for TR which MS achieved. Kojima would have formed his company either way and made another game. This deal is nothing more then every other deal that happens in the gaming industry except for the fact the reception it gets from the gaming comminity is nothing more then a good thing... wtf I will wait for the PC version but im lucky i invested in PC gaming and will be running 4k mid next year *hopefully*. I am not even a Kojima fan and would probably pass anyway since i havent even brought MGS5. I just feel for those who miss out. Thats all. |
Wrong!!! The difference between Kojima exclusive game with Sony vs M$ Tomb raider is the Kojima make a new game that noone play before in every console and tomb raider is a well know game that everyone plays it on ps3, ps4, pc, xbox, xbone and suddenly M$ deal with SE to take away from ps3 ps4 and pc gamers the second game on the series with her middle figer
Of course the same goes with Sony with Streat fighter deal he take away the five game on the series that every gamer has play on different consoles, but hey who start this BS first?
Kojima create a new game, Xbox gamers don't know if this game is good right? we don't know anything but with tomb raider all playstasion and pc gamers know that game is good.
in the and the industry hurt, none buy Xbox because of that game, everyone hate that deal, the Tomb raider fail on sales and SE lose there people.
Over all exclusives first paries studios is great advantage to boost consoles and Sony know that 20 years now
Exclusives games give us the opportunity to have more the one consoles and play on both difference games M$ and Sony sale consoles and the competition is health for the gamers
So you have great opinion there but with wrong examples

But why would PC gamers think that way?. In fact like PSVita said, if anything PC has the best of both worlds. Cos not only does it get its own exclusives, but it also been getting some of the biggger console ones too. But yes you can try making this about PC gamers if you want but fact is this is nothing to do with PC gamers. And i think most people can agree that if a game is not 1st party, or couldnt be made without the help of one of the companys then the is no reason for the game to be multiplat. The was a reason for it in the past with each console being so different. But now with pretty much all consoles being a PC with a custom OS this problem is not there anymore. Like i said Movies would of never got as big as they are today if they where doing the same practices as the video game industry. Console wars and 3rd party exclusives are just a way to keep the fan bases split no other reason imo. |
Why would they think that way? You know why, it's even in your signature. "Pc Master Race". There are people on this forum that actually think that way, and I'm 100% sure you do to. You don't want to buy consoles because they're "peasant" machines that can't run games in 4k and 60fps/120 fps etc etc. So they prefer that exclusives go away entirely so they don't have to buy consoles. Plain and simple.
And I don't think PC gets the best of both worlds. Where are its exclusives? The only exclusives it has are MOBA/MMO/RTS games and as a console gamer I don't care for those games because if I did, I would be playing them. And the other "exclusives" it has are indies but most of the "good" indies come to consoles eventually like SOMA, Darkest Dungeon, Killing Floor 2,Minecraft, Don't Starve, Elite: Dangerous, and a lot more. The PC doesn't have AAA exclusives like Halo, The Last of Us, Uncharted, Gran Turismo, Bloodborne etc etc, I could literally name you 100s of games. I bought a GTX750/FX 8320 hoping to play some good PC and I don't think I even found 1 decent PC exclusive. I tried to play the first Witcher game but that game is really bad. The PC does not have AAA exclusives that console gamers are interested in, and I can't even think of one in the past 5 years. Actually the only upcoming AAA PC exclusive that console gamers would be interested in is Star Citizen, that's it 1 game.
And why are you talking about the movie industry? Is it the gaming industry? No, they run completely different so there is no point in comparing those.

XCOM 2... =(
Also Civilization, Total War, Homeworld, Euro Truck Simulator, ArmA, Cities: Skylines, Kerbal Space Program an Mount and Blade. I am a console gamer myself and I am interestes in all those games! Then again, I'm just playing them, because they run just fine on my MacBook and I don't even need a beefy PC or something. Sure, I don't get 4K or 60 fps, but guess what: As a console gamer, I don't even care! =D
Anyway, the point is, there are plenty exclusives on PC and I am sure there are console gamers interested in them. Oh, and then there's Undertale! It's not AAA, but it's better than a whole bunch of AAA titles, so screw it, I'm gonna count that one also! ^^

You should read what I say, I said most console gamers don't care for MMO/MOBA/RTS, so XCOM 2, Civil, Total War, Homeworld, Cities is coming to consoles, Kerbal is coming to consoles. Euro Truck Simulator? Really? You can add simulation to the list console gamers don't care for. And yes Arma, does look good, I would have played that but that doesn't change what I said. For every AAa exclusive on PC you can find me, I could name you 20x more on console.
And again, read what I said, I said the PC doesn't have AAA exclusives, or not that many. Also you don't need a gaming pc to run Undertale, literally any pc can run that game. And I bet you they'll announce a console version in 2016. As I also said, "good" indies come to consoles so the PC doesn't even that many good indies that are exclusive. You should really read what I read.
And I don't think XCOM 2 is a PC exclusive, it will come to consoles. Considering the first came to consoles, I think it's more of just they want to work on the PC version first and then port to consoles.
