Forums - Nintendo - If Zelda U has an empty giant world like Xenoblade X or Shadow of the Colossus before it, will you be satisfied?

Hold on every review I've seen says xenoblades world is full?

It's very full. Idk what this kid is talking about.

There are items everywhere for you to pick up, monsters of low levels and high levels around you, ship debris for you to scavenge (and try to get to by going through those monsters) as well as finding people in the world. It's anything but empty.

We already know what a Zelda like this would play like... WW. One of the reasons that game got hate when it came out was due to endless, mind numbing sailing. For years, we all looked out at the oceans in our games, dreaming of sailing it and discovering it's many secrets only to see that dream crushed with the realization that in video games, it's some boring ass shit lol.

Unless they can come up with a way to make it exciting, we're probably all going to feel the same way about this game as well. Doesn't mean I won't enjoy the rest of the game though.

I think its much more interesting going through beautiful environment of forests, hills, fields, mountains, rivers, lakes...than just selling through flat ocean. So definatly will not be same feel, also Miyamotoo said there will be times where you forget what your goal is because you're doing other things on the side.

"There may even be times where you forget what your goal is because you're doing other things on the side," he said in a YouTube interview with iJustine. "There may be times where you go into one big, long dungeon or there may be times where you're headed to a dungeon, and you're doing other things along the side."

I have full confidence in Miyamoto and the team behind the game and expect them to figure this problem out.

Me too, but my point is even if Zelda U world isnt filled with content, side quests and NPCs, it won't be same fell like in WW and selling in flat ocean.

No, it shouldn't. But it's going to need more than pretty, varying types of terrain to make it interesting. Seeing trees, rocks, mountain sides, grass and pounds can only seem cool for so long haha.

What? Every stream I have seen and review and impression I have seen shows XCX's world is far from empty. Creatures of all sorts and roaming bosses prowl the land, NPCs and quests can be found throughout all the regions, caves are tucked into the hills and mountains, loot and probes reward basic exploration, and heart to hearts provide some minor moments of character exploration throughout. The world of XCX is not empty, not by a long shot.

Xenoblade X isn't empty at all.

Offcourse, Zelda U world will definitely have much more content than WW and TP, we will saw how much more, but I will fine even it doesnt have to many content because I know I will enjoying exploring that beautiful Zelda U world in any case.

I enjoyed sotc so its not that important for me

If Zelda HD is as "empty" as X I'll be more than happy.
X has manage to reach one of the highs of the Zelda games: exploration reward. If Hyrule Field is just as big as Primordia and full of secrets and caves it will be the best Zelda game ever.

Well, considering the Puzzle mechanic in the dungeons I don't see how it could possibly feel empty, even if the overworld isn't filled of things to do you still have to find items to be able to enter the next dungeon so you already have plenty of things to do, if they put too much stuff in the overworld then the game is gona feel too out of tracks at some point...
