Of course 2015 wasn't as good as Sony had hoped - that sort of happens when big games get delayed to next year.

"Yet again", even though they've never said it once and did not say it in this instance either. Don't see how MS did " very well". All Sony needs to do next year to match this Xbox year is release U4 and GT; that's it. And a 2016 with no exclusives other than SF5 (the "equivalent" of Rottr), U4 and GT would indeed be a "trash year", take from that what you will. |
Sony and Microsoft with both have great years, next year. It will be more competitive in terms of exclusives. Sony didnt really need exclusives to beat Microsoft and their bundles during the holiday proved that.
Quantum Break, Scalebound, Gears of War 4, Killer Instinct: Season 3 & Forza Horizon and more will be dropping for Microsoft next year. Sony has Street Fighter 5, Uncharted, Horizon and a couple of other games but nothing substantial. Sony will dominate Microsoft in JRPG's though and the multiplats will be great on both platforms to boot. Its why I own both consoles. I get everything and cant get screwed by timed exclusivity.
| ABTR said: First pary line up ''was not strong'' doesn't mean they all trash, but wasn't many enough, and Sony try to cover that with third paries exclusive content. Simply this guy say the true he don't hide behind the words like other do. I don't see the reason why we must surprise because he say the true. Ps4 has somenthing do that is unbelivable, has dominate in every way without most of first party studios has start there engines, so that is good because let them time to make good quality games. |
Sony always takes two years to start up their new IP lineups. I expected Microsoft first two years to be better, but I consider them about even in 2016 from what I am seeing so far. If you're a JRPG fan it goes to Sony hands down.

Nothing substantial.. But you listed X1 games that aren't substantial. You keep having this very strange criteria (goal posts?) For comparisons that always wants to remove as many PS games as possible and include as many Xbox games as possible. That is some funny gymnastics.

That's a joke right :) I'm pretty sure that this is a joke, I mean I hope it is a joke. Why not list all games for both microsoft and sony? No mans sky the most anticipated game next year, last guardian one of the megatons from e3 if it isn't delayed both not substantial? I'm no fan of game lists but if you want to do it do it correct for both.
and not something like this here:
"Microsoft has THIS, THAT and THAT, something like THAT and THIS here and sony well they have this and that, but, nothing else to be excited about (maybe some jrpg's lol)"
It was pretty bad. Next year looks a lot better though.
lol @ SFV first party.

its amazing how you call killer instinct season 3 "substantial", but The Last Guardian, Gravity rush 2, GT Sport, No Mans Sky, Ratchet and Clank, Persona 5, Paragon, Dreams, and many others as "nothing substantial".

First party was ok this year.
Wish we got more games in 2015, but the games we got were very good (Bloodborne, Until Dawn...).
Can't wait for 2016!!!

Yes, referring to SFV as first party is inaccurate but the guy just admitted that their 1st party holiday lineup turned out worse than they had hoped.
That's actually a moment of honest admittance and all you have to say is "stupid pr shit". Sigh.
Besides, the term "1st party" gets thrown around a lot these days. Often in the wrong context. Look no further than Microsoft's latest NPD PR:
"The most critically-acclaimed holiday lineup of exclusives in Xbox history helped drive 44 percent growth in Xbox Live hours over last November, and 72 percent growth in U.S. first-party retail game sales [this includes Rise of the Tomb Raider] comparing sales from August through November in 2015 to the same period last year."

Dude. You had a (good) point about Microsoft having more blockbusters in 2015 but now you're completely contradicting yourself by highlighting both unproved (Quantum Break and Scalebound) and historically low selling games (Killer Instinct and Forza Horizon) as reasons why Microsoft has a strong 2016 lineup.
Earlier you argued that PS4's 2015 lineup of exclusives (Bloodborne, Until Dawn, The Order: 1886, MLB 15: The Show, God of War 3 Remastered, Tearaway Unfolded and Nathan Drake Collection) objectively was inferior to XB1's (Halo 5: Guardians, Forza Motorsport 6, Gears of War Remastered, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Rare Replay) for the sole reason that XB1 had the biggest selling blockbusters and in some ways I agreed with you (though they all ended up underperforming in sales).
So why aren't big blockbuster exclusives important in 2016 when PS4 clearly has the upper hand?
Objectively speaking 3 of the biggest PS exclusive IP are getting a new release in 2016.

Are you really that surprised? They're a company, image is everything, they'll PR the shit out of everything if they had to. It sucks, but it's how things are sadly.
