A bit defensive here aren't you he said bump in quality not graphics.

I have the ps3 and nothing has made me want to buy a ps4

comparing wii/ wii u the bump in quality is really noticeable so I bought it almost day one

Typically I don't care, but when you start "justifying" purchases with a bump in quality that depends on the company, then it annoys me. It's dumb.

I also get annoyed when people say "I don't want to buy a ps4 because it has no gamez" or "I don't want a wii u because it is for children." These things are really annoying

Jaggies in MK8 doesn't look really that bad when you see game in motion in comparison with those screen shots. MK8 looks beautiful in motion even with jaggies, everytime when I playing MK8 after longer break I say to my self how beautiful game looks.

Exactly this

I couldn't handle myself for exploring the world of X cause it's so beautiful even it's a game on a LEAST powerful console like Wii U

You couldn't found a better open world game on last genre or current gen like this except GTA, with a lot of monsters, creatures, buildings and a massive open world without ALMOST loading screen

It's about art direction, graphical and optimize, not just graphic alone

aesthetics > graphics

I mostly play pc, and a game with a boring color palette and generic art style will still look boring and bland at 1080p/1440p. The great thing about the vast, vast majority of Nintendo games is that they have wonderful aesthetics qualities, which is why they look fantastic. Obviously they are not as technically impressive as a ps4/xb1/pc game, but they still look great. Mario 2D World is beautiful, one of the nicest looking games I have ever played, all due to the wonderful art and aesthetics, same with many other Wii U games.

I play on PC a lot too but I always find time for my nintendo.  There is no doubt that Wii U games look good.

The Witcher 3 says hello.

Maybe not better. But certainly not worse. Still have to finish Xenoblade X to make a final judgement on this. But I will say that as of now, The Witcher 3 is my GOTG. Everything is cohesive and organic, and there's a definite sense of wonder is the exploration of its world. Xenoblade, while being big, feels more barren. Landscape does look great, very fantastical in design, but it's also very static compared to The Witcher 3.  And just so you know, there's barely any loading in it as well, unless you fast travel or switch between the two continent. Which is all unobtrusive for a game as packed with content.

So no. As of now, I do not agree that Xenoblade X is the saviour of all open world games as you seem to imply.

Xenoblade X sure looks pretty. For a Wii U game. It seems to push the hardware more than any titles that have come out for it so far. But I don't  agree that it looks better than any other open world games other than GTA5.

If I'd have to guess, I'd say you would have to actually play both to know any of this... But who am I kidding?

I played both GTA V, The Witcher 3 and Xenoblade X, and here is my thought

Rockstar did a good job with their underwater map, which most open world game nowaday like AC or TW are following

CD Projekt Red bring a complicated conversation system and blend good story into an open world game which I really impressive but combat made it less interesting for me, but it's still good by keep me entertaining to the end

Monolith Soft showed their talents by working with weak hardware like Wii and Wii U, neither 480p or HD, they still made me surprise whenever I play their games with how good looking and best optimization it could be

Not really. We still just haven't seen that many visually impressive games on the ps4 because most of them are cross gen games. But the games you mentioned don't really compare to something like the Order 1886, let alone the games that will come out down the road such as Uncharted 4.

Fast Facing Neo could pass as a ps4 game?

I think, you meant ps3.

Maybe you should see what a ps4 game looks like before making silly comments like these. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHQFODsdGDU

To be fair, I own a PS4 and don't own a Wii U but I think Fast Racing Neo looks fantastic.  If you just take the base game and do nothing but upscale it to 1080p and release it on PSN as an indie title, it would stand head and shoulders above "most" indie titles on the store without question.

I hope it comes out at some point as I'd think it would sell by the bucketloads.  The Xbox and PS4 are crying out for a Wipeout / FZero type experience in my opinion and this game fits the bill.

After watching both videos, I didn't find Driveclub much more advanced visually. It's most impressive advantage is having much more foliage in the background (if you know how much power they can cost). However, the game couldn't hold a stable 30 fps if it's life depended on it, and the stuttering framerate is noticable througout almost the entire video, sometimes very strongly, too.

As a stuttering framerate is an absolute no-go for me in fast-paced games like racers, the visual prowess of Driveclub comes at way too much of a cost for me. If it had been slightly scaled down to Fast Racing Neo-like graphics it could have achieved a playable framerate, but as it stands it's just a slighly playable diashow slightly prettier than FRN.

Sorry, you are totally and utterly wrong about Driveclub.  It holds 30FPS and does not waiver in any way shape or form.  Just because a Youtube video shows it, doesn't mean a thing because those stutters could have been born from anywhere.  They most certainly did not come from the PS4, its absolute rock steady.

If you believe that not to be true, then you are welcome to point me to any analysis video which proves otherwise.

I know he didn't say that. I was saying that his original "justification" for wanting a wii u and not wanting a ps4 was, quite frankly, dumb. Just like it's dumb to say "ps4 has no games" or "wii u is for kids."

He was literally holding the wii u at a lower expectation because of it's weaker predecessor. He was holding the ps4 at a higher expectation because of its stronger predecessor. That's a double standard. I called him out on it. That's it.

Do you know the extent of his enjoyment with the original Wii? You may consider it weaker in quality but he may not it seems you're making assumptions on him or her on one line of text, it's often been said Wii U's library for a console with out thrid party support is surprisingly strong and it's not uncommon to find people who consider it the more entertaining library at the moment so it impressing him more wouldn't be odd at all regardless.

The dudes first paragraph was on graphics and how games look compared to their predecessor. Reread it again.

he wasn't comparing how one game played to its predecessor (I would be ok with that). He compared looks and graphics. Comparing the wii u to the wii in this regard is way more beneficial then comparing the ps4 to the ps3. I called it out as double standard. He should have compared both to the same console if he was going to use this as a justifying point of purchase.

PS: im not trying to make this a console war. If someone took bought a ps4 because it looks better than a wii, but ignored the Wii u because it looks similar to the PS3, I would also call out that person

Someone does a thread about the way developers push the wiiu limits and people comes just to remember everyone that wiiu is weaker than the rest. Oh really? :O We had no clue!

I was thinking the same, until I saw it was the OP the one that started the comparision. Way to ruin his own thread.
