Bloodstained doesn't come out until 2017. Also 2016 wins because Zelda U.

bet: lost

Yeah, and Yooka-Laylee has also no chance of a 2016 release.

They planned October 2016, but with the stretch goals they have much more work to do. Most (all?) bigger crowdfunded games are released 1 - 3 years after the promised date.

For me, it will mainly be Zelda U vs Splatoon, so whichever is better, will win

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

No offence but in the grand scheme of things Splatoon is far more important than the tenth Zelda game or whatever they're at.

Splatoon is the first big new Nintendo IP that isn't a casual mini-game type thing since like .... Animal Crossing almost 14/15 years ago. It's also the first big Nintendo IP ever that's online centric.

Splatoon will also sales wise likely become a bigger franchise than what Zelda is.

So Splatoon + Super Mario Maker + X vs Zelda. The thing is, if the latter lives up to everything that it can be, then it's still going to win out.

2016..final glory

See, this kinda list needs some sort of context. What constitutes a major release? Obviously Nintendo published games, but where's the line for third party games? Indies? Does Affordable Space Adventures count? Does Binding of Isaac Rebirth count? If it doesn't, why does it not count, while things like Fast Racing Neo or Slender does? There's no explanation or guidelines for what does or doesn't count.

On topic, 2015, only because of Splatoon. Without that, 2016 for Zelda.

I'd say 2016 wins easily, as of now Nintendo only talked about games coming out in Q1 and Zelda, we have 2 more quarters and maybe something for the holiday even though I think they'll be releasing NX at that time...

Splatoon/MM/X are great. I really really like all of them.

However, to me, Zelda is the best vg franchise; thus, if Zelda U delivers and can exceed MM/WW and be the definitive 3D Zelda, then I will be a very, very happy person and that will probably make me like 2016 more than 2015. If it can match ALTTP/ALBW, I will eat my own toothbrush and be the happiest person.

Still, I hope future years are much better for NX .
