Guys ZhugeEX just (yesterday) confirmed Wii U hit 11million units sold.
Is it possible VGC has the Wii U slightly overtracked? by like 200k units?

PS4 is doing remarkably well. It seems that if you give multiplat developers an easy console to develop for and give gamers the best experience (resolution bump/fps bump - no mater how small) in multiplats, then you can really dominate.

Exclusive content seems to be an old fashioned way of moving hardware. If Nintendo learns from this they could really do well with NX.

I'm going to assume it's a gimmicky underpowered piece of garbage though. Then I won't be disappointed if it is.

I think the WiiU numbers are pretty good estimations.

~200k out in the holiday season is nothing at all. Literally less than 1 weeks worth of sales.

I'm not sure if PC+PS4 can save it. It will sell considerably better, yes, but I don't think the IP will die, it'll be put back on ice to be rebooted yet again years down the line. If anything, the failure this game for Xbox One is probably the scarecrow that'll keep major pubs from giving timed exclusive AAAs to MS in the future.

TBH I think they should remake the original Tomb Raider. Tweak the controls, but don't overhaul them. I would totally buy it. I almost finished the original game but I got stuck on the final part so never quite finished it. I really liked the over all gameplay of the original games more than the action style of these reboots. Not saying that the reboots are bad, I enjoyed the 2013 game quite a bit, but not as much as I enjoyed the PS1 games. Remake the game with The Order 1886 graphics and I think people would buy it in huge numbers.

Yes WiiU is overtracked.  Between 150k-200k most likely.  Not good at all. 

 

Rumours has it only selling 245k in November.  So Vgchartz over tracked it for November in the US. That's a bad month it has to be said.  

 

December will be better though.
