Wii Fit will be huge. I have been talking to my various friends who all have Wii's. I am the only actualy gamer in the crowd. They are all very casual. I try to get them to play more games like SMG, MP3, Civ, SSBB, RE4, Zack & Wiki, MoHHeros2, etc. They try, it and all say the same thing. Too hard, takes too long, blah blah. Pure casual game players. i.e. the MASS.

However, they love Wii Sports, Madden, Tiger Woods, GH, etc and all of them are pretty much given me the firm answer of yes to buying Wii Fit. It's gonna sell huge, even at $90.

I have even been pitching Mario Kart Wii, since I have already pre-bought it. Almost none of them are interested. :( WTF.

LOL Patcher is such a tool. I guess the novelty of Wii still hasn't worn off yet? Surely Nintendo would have been able to meet demand over a year after release if the Wii were a fad.

It'll be exciting to see what kind of numbers WiiFit can pull in NA, but I don't think Eu/Others region will quite as fond of it.
I have little faith in the concept myself, and am willing to stand by my initial assumption that it won't pass 7 million ww lt in sales.

Considering hardware sales are flat he doesn't seem to give any valid reason why DS and 360 dollar sales for example will go down. I guess in the 360's case he could argue that Halo 3 last year will be hard to follow but Grand Theft Auto 4 and a slew of other titles, especially in the first half of this year compared to last year could offset that.

Yeah, Wii Fit will be huge, no doubt about it. I say 7m NA, 10m Other and 3m Japan for 20m lifetime. This could also be a huge driver for Wii sales, IF and only IF Nintendo can increase production to take advantage of it.

I still don't think the DS has been properly marketed in the US like it has in the UK. If NoA were to follow the UK lead, the DS could sell a lot more in the US. There are millions of untapped older adults who could be sucked into the whole Brain Training thing.

GH DS should increase DS sales as well.

Patcher is pretty dumb, imo. But if Nintendo really wants the biggest marketing campaign ever, they only need to do one thing. Oprah. That's it. Pay her 500,000 dollars to dedicate a whole episode on it and give everyone in the audience a copy.

So is he officially backing off of his predictions that Wii would slow down this year and fall to the phoenix like uprising of the PS3?

Funny how now he seems to be predicting Wii will be selling like hotcakes ALONGSIDE the PS3, when before he was more of a "Wii will subside and PS3 will regain the reigns" type of guy.

Slowly but surely he is backing off of his original predictions and laying the groundwork so he can save face.

i just hope its really under 100 bucks and not that 99.99 shit, because it ends up being over 100 bucks with tax
