Playing it now. Can't understand how people have been so forgiving of this game. It has addictive gameplay but technically, it's looks and feels on par with the Xbox 360 RPG Infinite Undiscovery. I kinda feel mislead and a little angry about this game right now.

You can't possibly compare Infinite Undiscovery with XCX, please. That's just ridiculous. From a technical point it's miles ahead, and that's a fact. Just compare the scale of the world of those two games.

And you're defending this?!?! Meanwhile I'm here listening to this horrible "I can't hear you, I can't see you" song, running around with a blurry circle as a shadow, seeing characters and objects pop in literally 10 steps ahead of me, and seeing flat textures that would look good on a Dreamcast game. And it's blurry. And I'm supposed to forgive all of this because "I can see really far"?

The emperor is naked. I wouldn't be mad if the preview info was honest. Instead, it showed this footage that looked better than anything I remember from last gen. With Devil's Third I KNOW it looks like poop so when my copy comes I won't feel like I've been lied to. This game looks bad and I'm not going to be one of those gamers that just looks the other way.

The first one looked bad in Wii but it never hid that fact and I still loved it.  I'll love this one, too.   It's fun. Graphically, we've been had.

I'm not saying the game hasn't got its flaws. There's a lot of pop-in, some textures are messy, and shadows are not dynamic. Yes. But on the contrary we have a seamless world with any loading times, it runs on a very stable 30fps, it's beatifully crafted and massive in scale, the world is the biggest hand-made world ever made, the monsters looks great, and it's on a WiiU, which is not a powerhouse; I don't encounter any bug in my 80 hours, which is a given in a lot of the open world games... I know people tend to overlook the good things when the bad things are obvious, but that's just not an objective analysis of the game, and saying just "it looks bad" it's not a fair analysis. They sacrificed some things for performance, and that's not a bad thing. And even if you say it looks bad to you, comparing it to THAT game is just ridiculous. They're not even in the same league on a technical analysis.

Ah. You are in NLA.

That is by far and away the worst looking part of the game in pretty much every respect; pop-in, textures, and shadows are all at their lowest point here.

I don't think anyone would dispute that NLA looks a bit rubbish. It is the open fields filled with vegetation, creatures, varying terrain, enormous vistas, etc, that are earning the game visual praise.

People, look at how weak the Wii U.

This looks GORGEOUS. Stop complaining. Geez...

At least they weren't like Ubisoft and gave you a game that actually had effort put into.

30 FPS won't kill you. Trust me. 60 FPS is nicer, but limits.

Imagine if the NX gets the specs it needs to run games like this without limitations

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Oh, got it. Yeah, that's fair, NLA doesn't look any good. The pop-in is horrible, there are times I have to wait until the character loads! XDDD.

You just brightened up my day so much!  Looking forward to what's to come. For what it's worth, I've been at work for about 9 (out of 12) hours and getting back to this game is pretty much all I can think of. It's so addicting!!

Japanese games never exceled graphically - and this is no exception. On the other hand - the game is pushed for what it is not graphically (and that is somehow normal with the current state of the wii U). If PS360 can pull Crysis 3, than the Wii U should do at least a little better.

Ex Graphics Whore.

BTW, if you have the disc version, make sure to download the local data from the eShop if you have the HDD space for it, it will make loading a lot faster, I only noticed it because I got the game on eShop lol.

Oh, and here is me getting into the Skell in style! -_^b
