Gears bundle and perhaps something else will be $299 too no doubt. Really MS should rush a $299 Halo 5 bundle to market. I dunno. I thought at the start of the generation the BoM analysis for PS4 and Xb one came out pretty close. After taking account of distribution, packaging and retailer mark-up both consoles launched at a loss. Whether Sony has managed to drop cost of production faster than MS is a question that AFAIK has not been answered.

Ps4 has had a few internal revisions xbox has not.  The ps4 uses parts that are expected to get cheaper over time. It sells twice as much which means they get better deals on everything.  The margins will be bigger.  

 

I'd imagine xbox one is being sold at a loss and Microsoft are using games and live to make up the loss.  I'd guess Sony are selling at a profit from the off.  They really want to make as much as possible from the ps4. They need to after all.

well, its been 23 hours since the deal ended on the east coast. Either a ton people bought it last minute or it is still selling really well today.

well it only needs to gain 10 more spots to equal that. There is a bunch of items ahead of it that are not even in the top 100 right now so it should climb pretty quick. It should be top 10 for year.

It looks like the Nathan Drake Bundle sold on popularity as well as the price reduction because it's still holding steady at #1. I expect to see Star Wars at #1 and Nathan Drake #2 come the 7th.
