This got me thinking.... EVERYTHING is rumors all about now. Rumors going around that NX will be able to produce 120 fps, 4K resolution, Industry leading chips,  Zelda Wii U on NX, Being a home console AND handheld at the same time, releasing next year,  and all these other rumors. REMEMBER, rumors ARE RUMORS. Everyone is acting like all these rumors are true and Nintendo isn't saying anything about it.... I wouldn't get so hyped for it right now UNTIL Nintendo confirms they are real.... Like who knows, maybe the NX will be just a powerful console that will be released for 2018 with some whacky stupid gimmick.  

Well, if that happens, what are we going to do? But they will mostly come true, Nintendo can't afford three more years of WiiU-3DS alone, not can they regain market without shaking the console formula a bit.

That would be dissapointing

Well theres 2 sides between these NX thing.
- Theres people who wants Nintendo to keep supporting the Wii U and the 3DS
- But theres people who want Nintendo to move on because they won't getuch from the Wii U and the 3DS now and in the near future.

Ofcourse im the second one. Im happy with the Wii U. I have spent more time on it than My Wii, My DS and maybe even the 3DS. Sooooo i want Nintendo to announce and release the NX thing as soon as possible. Because my body is ready to spend some $$$ on a new hardware.

The GameCube didn't last 6 years and the WiiU is going to? Suuuuure.

Nintendo has confirmed that they will be talking about NX E3 2016. Why should they do that if they were not going to release the console until three years later?

They usually have 1.5 years from first unveil to release, so I can see it coming holyday 2017 at the latest. They might push it out earlier though, we will see.

Funny, because they have lost me as a customer by cutting the Wii U lifespan short. 3DS is fine to replace because Nintendo have been excellent with their support of that, and although Wii u has had great games, I still think Nintendo could have done better with it. I am certainly not satisfied with a 4 year lifespan consisting of huge game droughts, it doesn't have me bursting to own an NX, and I'm sure there are others that feel this way.

That would be great news, because Nintendo would be focusing on delighting its present customers and prepare the launch of the next system with due preparation and goodwill earned.

I still don't believe the NX will simply be a new home console with more powerful specs aimed at the hardcore gamer. It's just not gonna happen.
I'm guessing it will be something aimed at the casual market. A cheap andsimple to use system like the Wii.

If they want to target the more hardcore market sucessfully, the waiting 3 years and planning it aswell as launching it at te same time as competitors would be great news.

If they're smart they have a countdown clock until NX launches in Nintendo headquarters. And that clock hits zero holiday season of 2016. 3DS is being clowned by smartphones at every turn and Wii U isn't lighting the world on fire with sales. Keeping them around for longer than 2 years would be disastrous. It might mean losing customers who feel a way about Wii U, but they can't just keep pumping out games to appease a few disgruntled people and lose money.

I hope it comes and I hope it comes next year. I had a blast with Wii U and I'm ready to move on. If the games are as fun as they were with Wii U then it'll be nothing but good times.

I've never heard about this rumour of 120fps and 4k. I don't think it's true because that would be very expensive right? though it would be awesome!

I still believe NX will be released next year, probably NX hanheld first, august 2016 and then home console in november 2016. They should think about the company, and the market as well, and how bad they have been selling for three years.
They shouldn't think about the few people that claims they won't be buying anything Nintendo related if they release the nx so soon.
I'm sorry but I don't understand this feeling, how can you get mad at a company trying to not loose any more money? They have supported the wii u for three years now and I think they should have sent it to die earlier, but they have invested in something they knew it wouldn't be profitable, just for their public and to make you enjoy the console. At least we have:
-Mario kart 8
-Super smash bros
-3d world
-Yoshi's wooly world
-Dkc tropical freeze
-Zelda WW hd
-Captain toad
-Super mario maker
-Bayonetta 1&2
-Splatoon
-Xenoblade chronicles X and many more.

Really, I don't get why people is sometimes so harsh with Nintendo, can't you see they failed big this time with the wii u? Enjoy the games you bought and be happy that we will have a more powerful console next year, which luckily will have more third party games, so it's a win-win situation for everyone.
