This doesn't mean anything when:

1. The main PS4 & XB1 bundles had limited stock online @ Target.com and therefore were sold out early whilst Wii U was allocated higher stock level
2. Target accounts for less than 15% of the total market for Video Game sales in the U.S.
3. Target.com accounts for less than 5% of all sales from Target.com and Target Retail.

Shhhh, shhh, it's okay, it's okay, your console is still winning, shhh.....

Is that what you think my post is? You clearly don't have any experience with the retail market then.

I do, unfortunately, have far too much experience with forum posters though. If your intent was to inform instead of merely diminish, you came up far short.

All I ever do is inform. Based on previous discussions on this site and others it seems some people were reading too much into the data point and so in this thread I wanted to provide some additional information to give the data some context.

In that case, I apologize. The posts did read like a non sequitir though; I don't believe even the most deluded person on this site anticipates the Wii U will sell in significant quantities any more, and whether in this or the other 2+ threads on the subject I don't believe anyone had stated or really implied that this bit of news signified anything significant, so when your first post was about how this bit of news is ultimately meaningless in the grand scheme of things I misinterpreted it.

No worries buddy. I guess I was just trying to get all the stuff out of the way that people might misinterpret.

One company selling a console a lot doesn't mean too much because there are a lot of other retailers out there...

that said, it's still nice to see

it was the top Selling Item on target, so everything was low on stock after your logic? Why not giving victory to Nintendo when its deserved?

That's correct.

However, as pointed out there was less stock for PS4 & XB1 online and more allocated in store.

Good to see that the Wii U is doing better than last year.

It goes to show that the steep price of the console has been a key factor in the disappointing sales of Wii U. I hope Nintendo return to these discounted prices for the whole holiday period and get some Wii U consoles out there because generally speaking I find that the people who own the console are quite happy with it.

I believe Ruler's point was that even accounting for the other consoles being lower in online stock, the Wii U still outsold everything else on Target's site. On Black Friday, that means a lot was on sale that got beat out. One can easily see that as a win for Nintendo at least in PR alone, even if you wanna out an asterisk that the PS4 and XBO were under stocked.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

I have seen you mention this multiple times. Can you substantiate this claim with a source or evidence?

We had 30 Wii U's in my store.

Why would target online have less PS4/X1 stock? Makes no sense.

But if Target is leading Wii U sales, it still could mean the Wii U is going to sell well across the board. It is an indicator.

We sold out at Walmart by the way. One day.

We had 0 at my target. Plenty of Xbones and PS4s though.
