The games sounds promissing . Lets hope that they will manage to make it truly big :)

@IllegalPaladin, yes yes yes! That statement is full of win :D I have a feeling those were Insomniacs favorite moments as well as they were pretty much what separated that game from the rest of the saturated FPS market, well that and badass weapons of course :D

This game sounds better and better each time i read anything about it! Can't wait to get my hands on it :D

I have high hopes for this game, it looks and sounds really cool.
The first one is very good as far as console FPS' go, and it seemed quite long to me, longer than H-L 2 at least.

@Soriku, you forget thought that its a first person shooter xD I can't think of many linear FPS's that span more than 50 hours of gameplay :P If it's any consolation, the first one had unlockables and a list of goals so to say ^^ and 15 hours on hard mode? That guy has to be pretty good xD

Resistance is hard enough on normal mode to get through. So Resistance 2 will be even longer than Resistance 1?

Resistance: FOM had a very respectable length for a FPS. I doubt it's going to be an issue for the sequel.

I'm very interested in the 8 player co-op and 60 player online. It's really going to be a first time experience for many console gamers.

I totally agree with you on Swords > Guns UNLESS the guns are creative and friggin awesome :D in which case I can accept SOME guns being just AS cool as swords :D. The bullseye and gravity gun are testaments to that statement ^^

50 hour FPS would be boring, Bioshock is proof that long FPS games turn uninteresting after a given time no matter how compelling it initially is.
You need RPG-like depth and massive variety to keep gamers fettered for 50 hours, a kind of variety that, frankly, does not exist within the genre.
And seeing how unvaried the original was, I doubt that Bioshock 2 will be a revolution in this regard, nor will Resistance 2 or Gears 2 or any other shooter any time soon.
