Forums - Nintendo - Which disappointing Wii U game sales are you actually ok with?

I'm happy with Amiibo Festival flop, however we still need to wait to draw conclusions since this is an AC game afterall (long legs usually).

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I bought Watch_Dogs on the Wii U :(

I'm glad Mario Tennis and Amiibo Festival are not doing great.

Watch Dogs tanking I'm perfectly ok with, as I am with Animal Crossing, Sonic Boom, Arkham Origins (this one just blows in general), and Devil's Third. On the other hand, poor Deus Ex, Fatal Frame, Injustice, Resident Evil, and, while I know they didn't BOMB per say, Rayman and Bayo 2 deserved a hell of a lot more.

Watch Dogs sold as many as 110,000? Surprising. Frankly would have been less disrespectful if Ubisoft had ditched that game for Wii U - appalling the way it was released.

Im happy with Watch Dogs bombing.

Watch Dogs bombing was fine by me.

Bayonetta 2 and The Wonderful 101 made me sad (both Platinum games...) I've had the Bayonetta double pack for a couple of months now and both 1 and 2 are fantastic, it deserves 1m+, but I guess that's not the type of game Nintendo wants to advertise... I got The Wonderful 101 the other day and it too is great fun, if this thing was advertised AT ALL then it could have done 750k+, but it was sent out to die. Hopefully being featured in the eShop cyber deals will boost TW101 a bit.

It pleased me to see games like Sonic Boom, Amiibo Festival, and Devil's Third flop.

"Bayonetta 2" is the most depressing story on the Wii U. "Wonderful 101" a close second, only because I love Bayo WAY too much.

"Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze" eventually broke a million, so that sting has been removed somewhat. I'm also slightly saddened that "Wind Waker HD" underperformed against "Hyrule Warriors" (hot garbage), but it WAS a remake, and managed some lukewarm numbers.

"Zombi U", and "Deus Ex" were a pretty big blow to the console, as they represented the best chance for Nintendo fans to prove that fair effort from third parties will be rewarded by Nintendo fans.

Hyrule Warriors is a better game than Wind Waker. :P

I hear that. "Mario Tennis" probably isn't as bad as it's made out to be, but mediocre games having mediocre sales is a lesson to Nintendo. We really weren't asking for "Amiibo Festival".
