Forums - Microsoft - Will EA Reconsider EA Access?

So we've come full circle on this forum where most people ITT, IIRC, agreed with Sony's stupid ass reasoning behind not allowing EA Access on PS4. And now the value and money saved is so great, it might be hurting EA sales. lol

Its a digital subscription service. I am sure they are making more than enough off subs to offset any sales hit.

How did we get to the value is so great it's hurting EAs pockets? Weird.

The value was always there, just took some a while longer to see it. Glad youve come around on it.

I don't think that ea access is hurting their Xbox one video game sales. The games aren't selling that bad on the console, its just that the total hardware sales for the Xbox one it looks really bad. When the direct competition has outsold them nearing 3 to 1 you can't really compare their game sales for the same title. That would be like comparing a lemonade stand to a drive through coffee shop.

Okay, now it seems to be a good time to give the EA Access + XBL Gold combination a chance, so i subscribed for 1 month (and instantly canceled the subscriptions for the following months before I forget it).

I'm not interested in the EA sports games, but €4.99 (XBL Gold first month = €1) for 10 hours Need for Speed + 10 hours Star Wars Battlefront + 1 month access to NfS Rivals + Dragon Age Inquisition + activation of the november and december "games with gold" titles + the pre-Xmas "deals with gold" seems like a bargain to me.

If you're one of the millions of people just getting a X1 this holiday, I think EA Access is the best $30 you can spend.

I mean BF games, Titanfall, Star War trial, PvZ:GW, Dragon Age, NFS, etc. Its a bargain.

At launch it was a good value, especially for people just getting a X1 and wanting games. But it offers so much now its an incredible value at $30.

Frankly, I would like to see more publishers offer this. Especially if they can offer their catlaogue of 360 games.

I don't think EA Access is going to change anytime soon. EA probably can see subscription services like this as a part of future gaming. Console could see a decline and I think EA are setting up a service that can be used on multiple devices, similar to Sony's plan to spread PS Now to smart TVs and PC.

EA Access could lose them money in the short run but this is being built for the future.

PS now is on PC?, I didn't notice any heavy advertising of that sort. I do however know of it's presence towards TV's.

It's not on pc but Sony have been open about plans expanding onto other platforms that include pc

Glad you've come around to see it? All I've seen is an inability to deal with a subject without someone feeling it necessary to make it into some childish 'fanboy' nonsense (you won't see me using that word very often). This service could be the worse value conseivable but still be perfectly apt for the points I'm making. The two are not connected in the least. One is a value proposition the other is a business model proposition.

Dozens and dozens of posts that i saw= Xbox owners are playing 10hrs and not buying the game. This whole thread was nonsense based on nothing solid at all. Total guessing acting as fact. This guy
