Gamepad. I don't see how Nintendo is releasing a $299 machine with comparable specs to the PS4, let alone higher, with the amount of internal memory expected of a 2016 home console (1TB), that has the confirmed-to-be-returning second screen controller. Something is going to give, and I'm going to bet it will be the price.

Gamepad. It's confirmed in patents and dev kits. The NXDS will be a separate device, as told by Iwata years ago.

Nintendo has many, many patents they never used. Years ago they patented some "data crystals", never seen till now :)

 

Currently there is not even a slight evidence that a NX console would have a second screen.

Yes they do. And every article of the dev kits mention a screen unit. You can ignore the facts and pretend they don't matter, or you can use deductive reasoning and come to the obvious conclusion.

Again, I didn't see that an article mentioned screen unit in dev kits.

I'm not trying to say the PS4 is a weak machine, but the CPU leaves a lot to be desired. I will be shocked if the NX's CPU isn't better than the PS4's CPU. Its GPU is good enough though.

Literally every single article on the subject mentions it. All of them.

"The Wall Street Journal sources have said that the console will include a "mobile unit that could either be used in conjunction with the console or taken on the road for separate use"

"A separate mobile unit could also fit the description of the touchscreen-based controller that Nintendo recently patented, that also has shoulder scroll wheels."

But sure. Those sources are lying and why just know nothing about the NX. I'll just be totally suprised next year when the NX launches with a screened controller. Nothing hinting at it before hand at all.
