I'm sure people is looking forward more games aside from Zelda, like Fire Emblem, Pokemon, Dragon Quest.

That would have been the case after E3 as well, with games like Fire Emblem Fates, Yoshi's Woolly World and Xenoblade Chronicles X.

But, you know, they didn't show Zelda at E3, so it was awful. Well, they did show Triforce Heroes and Hyrule Warriors Legends, but not 3D Zelda.

You want people to be excited for a Fates story trailer, an already released game in Japan that sells worlwide less than Zelda, for a Yoshi and Xenoblade game that have been showed since January 2013, and again, both series sells less than Zelda?

And before you go there, that was E3, not a Nintendo Direct. It was supposed to show us new big games and future support for the console, not games announced since more than 2 years before and that have a trailer in almost every presentation.

It's like people expecting to see Super Mario Galaxy and in the end the only thing they saw is Super Mario 3D World. You can't blame them for feeling underwhelmed.

I also got a theory.

Playstation fans will be excited if Uncharted footage is shown

XBone fans were excited when Halo was shown.

So am I right?

As a general rule, this is correct. It's also true of the kind of coverage Nintendo get from journalists and non-owners of their hardware.

I was impressed and excited by the 3DS RPGs, Pokemon on Virtual Console, Star Fox Zero and Fast Racing Neo, in addition to the Zelda/Smash news.

I was vastly more excited for Xenoblade than Zelda. The Jan 2013 direct so far has been the most impactful for me, and there was no Zelda, 3D Mario, Metroid, ect.

*Edit* apologies, there was the Windwaker HD video. I forgot all about it. Shows how much of an impact it had.

And dislike for the 2013 Digital Event? They had Windwaker, Xenoblade, W101, Bayo 2, Megaman in Smash reveal, ect. Your old thread is VERY wrong. The 2013 Digital Event is probably the best they ever had.

1. I don't want people to be excited. I want people to be more reasonable.

2. You don't believe that yourself. If this E3 had had a Zelda trailer (which isn't a new big game), the reception of the presentation on the whole would have been a lot more positive. Like, "Who really cares that a lot of time was spent on amiibo, Zelda looks fantastic."

3. That's exactly what I am talking about. The presence or lack thereof of a few certain IPs determines whether everything else was either good or bad. - "Nintendo isn't making Super Mario Galaxy 3, I am pissed. This presentation was awful." - But if Super Mario Galaxy 3 had been there, then the presentation would have been good despite the rest of the content being identical between the two scenarios.

Of course that makes the difference. I mean, people like me would have a game to be excited. You can claim it was a "good" show if the content you expect and want is there. Would you said it was a good show if the content showed does not appeal to you, outside of the name of the company?

Talking about sheeps.

Maybe a little but not as much as OP. As far as Playstation fans go, they are always exited. Xbox fans sure like Chief as that is their biggest exclusive but they atleast show more varied interest and enthusiasm. If they didn't their opposing fans would eat them alive with list wars. Okay, well they still do.

Yes, people like you. That's the point.

Exactly. Like me. Someone that wants actual games to be excited. Not just "reasonable" stuff. But judging by the sales, guess I'm not the only one.

If they're always excited, that means I am more right than the OP, because he isn't right about half the things he claims as far as I go. Even if we look up old threads he's claiming the E3 2013 digital event was negatively regarded. Completely not true.

2003 had Smash i think. So, that made the internet fans of Nintendo exited. The kind that always play with items off and Gamecube controller being the best bro. Bayonetta 2 nerdrage helped divert attention away from general pessimism of Nintendo internet fans.

Again, everything the OP says doesn't have to apply to everyone. For example the subset of Animal Crossing Nintendo fans are always happy. I think only one i saw slightly pissed off was Einseim as someone stepped on his grass or something. *shrugs*
