It certainly does look underwhelming...
I'll still end up getting it, as it is quite possibly my favorite Zelda game...
I want to hear about the new content...
Not that I'm expecting much...

No load screens, 1080p30fps and hero mode and maybe I'll bite.

For someone who labels this remaster as underwhelming, your minimum requirements are very tame.

Looks =/= play

LOL did people really thing they do a full blow remake of this?

They need to make the delayed Zelda shine more

I was expecting the WWHD treatement. That wasn't unreasonable.

I actually think they invest more time and resources in this port than in WW HD port. WW HD have great art style with simple textures and models, basically just higher those simple textures and better lighting and games looks great. Something like that couldn't be done with TOP graphics and art style.

It is false to say that they couldn't add HDR, and DoF to Twilight Princess. They certainly could have. As it is now the only real work they did was port the game and use high-res textures (which were probably already created by Nintendo way back when the original was released), and considering the common architecture between GC/Wii U that isn't too impressive. There is nothing that would've prevented them from doing the WWHD treatement to the lighting system. In fact they could even look at the code they used with that because both WW and TP use the same engine.

Nope, just the equivalent of this.

It looked 1080p to me. No obvious aliasing or blur. It would be kind of pathetic if the game ran at 720p to be honest lol.

There only few Wii U games that are 1080p.

Its just a plain and simple remaster. WWHD had a whole new lighting system fitted into the game, it was also a flagship Wii U title for the year.

I'll be giving it a miss buut it looked like what I thought it would :)

Twilight Princess is not a Wii U game. Both WWHD and Monster Hunter Tri (GC/Wii games) are 1080p 30+ fps.

Indeed, from what I saw, it doesn't look that nice.. :/
