I don't really care about the reviews for this game, I just know I'll be getting it.

Nintendo still doomed?

The bad thing about MK is that no other games come out that resemble it in anyway so it has no one to compete with. While each FPS game needs to compete with 100 other titles and due something different and get things perfect to get noticed. Mk has been doing the same crap from day one and needs to step it up, the new MK game is nothing special.

Anyone who thinks a 10 on a 10 point scale indicates a perfect game is an idiot. An 11 on a 10 point scale would be a perfect game. |
That makes absolutely no sense at all. 10/10 = perfect, but those that rate games 10/10, don't know what perfect is, round up a score, like 9.9685995 to 10, or give it a 10 to indicate it as one of the greatest games, and not a game that's perfect. 11/10 is not perfect. It's impossible. The score is out of 10, not 11. It also breaks the barrier. If you can have 11/10, then why not 999 out of 10? You are wrong. So wrong.

All Mario Kart games are over 85%, or 85, except Mario Kart 64 in Metacritic, since it got a score of 83, but it got 86% on GameRankings.
90+ = Masterpiece.
This game better get 90+, or I'll be pissed.
I really don't want to see a "generally favorable reviews." I want to see a "universal acclaim." Then we will know that Mario Kart Wii is another Brawl, and Galaxy, and not an underpowered outsider! The score better have a "9" at the front. I don't want to see an "8." If I see anything less than "8," I will officially sell off my entire video game collection, except for the Mario Kart games, which I would burn in the fire. Come on Mario Kart Wii! Succeed!

I know, man. I used to love playing the SNES Mario Kart online. I'd usually use the bikes over the karts, at least until I lost my SNES Wheel. The motion sensing just felt all wrong without it.

You played it? Didn't think so, fanbizzy.
And Killzone 2 is ASS.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.

NO NO, NO NO NO.
Pretty much all the criticisms I've heard of the game sound nitpicky. It doesn't sound as painstakingly refined as Brawl, SMG or MP3 were, but I have no doubt that it will be a very worthy purchase, even if online turns out to be a little flaky (which I'm guessing it will).
Although Griffin's off on how much Kart has actually changed, he's right that it doesn't have much in the way of competition. There are lots of racing games on Wii, but they're pretty weak on quality. Excite Truck is the closest competition MK will have.
