Thats not trashing a game. Thats whats called making a point. You should try it sometime and maybe not insult the people who might be interested in reading what you have to say. Like saying "This shouldn't need any explanation to begin with, but you are Nintendo fans, so there's no other choice than to go the extra mile."

Get the fuck out you patrionizing idiot.

None of my reasons for why SM3DW is better than SMG included a comment along the lines of "SMG isn't even worthy of being a home console game.", so your standards for what does and what does not constitute trashing a game are very questionable to say the least.

I am sorry that the joke in the opening paragraph of this thread riled you up. Yes, it's a joke.

@Mod team: Everything's cool here, was just a misunderstanding.

You just referred to it as the meh game. You know very well that many people love it, so stop insulting us and make your point without it.

Hmmm... no, that's trashing a game. Because it's obviously not a 3DS spinoff caliber game XDDDD. It's ridiculous and disrespecting to the company, I'd say.

Yeah, they are not similar at all... At least play both games.

I've played both games. I 100% both of them. And 3DWorld is vastly superior in all the aspects. If I get it right, 3DWorld is 3DS spinoff caliber game because it looks and plays similar to 3DLand? Then we can say the same about... almost every game in the market.

Ok, what is Galaxy a spinoff of?

You can't insist on such things with a straight face when you committed worse offenses in the very same thread.

I insulted you back because you deserve it. If its so difficult to make a thread without being a dick, the just dont do it.

With that reasoning, SMG2 is a "spinoff" of SMG.

Chill up guys (RolStoppable and KLXVER). It's just games and ... opnions.
You see, I liked Peace Walker and didn't like Red Dead Redemption. That's it. I'm weird like that.

=)

Thats fine, but you didnt call us idiots for not understanding it. Thats the difference.

Galaxy has a lot more charm, the galaxy scope of it even if it is linear just adds a lot to it. You actually feel you're in space with the rounded planets, the anti gravity levels and launching into space every now and then. I never got bored of that. The music was simply amazing and it doesn't give you the impression that you're going from one map to the other.

Thing is video games evolve, and while I like my dose of 2D Mario, I don't want to see any of the restrictive 2D design levels in a 3D Mario game. Galaxy, as linear as it may be, was far from a 2.5D game. Even 2D games have stuff to explore but limiting your run to a set time on each level and having to get to a "meaningless" pole (it's a 2D level design really) instead of getting the star just makes the game seem caged, like it's locked itself in a constricted world.

I liked 3D World but I always had that feeling of playing a 2D game and I could never shake it off. Whereas in Galaxy Mario seemed free, and there's nothing more free than space.

One more thing is that I truly believe that 2D Mario is for the fans of 2D Mario platformers where they are rehashed for older fans where as 3D Mario was always kind of a risky venture for Nintendo. SM64 was the first 3D Mario game and they had to get out of their comfort zone to make it, Sunshine was a big risk in the direction for the Mario series, Galaxy was just going out of the conventional castle design into space where as 3D World seemed more like a fleshed out 2D Mario, and tbh I like Nintendo the most when they take risks.

And btw to anyone dissing the Wii controls in the game, bar the racing games I thought it was implemented beautifully and one of the reasons I feel in love with the game.

3D World > 3D Land > Galaxy 2 > Galaxy > Sunshine > 64

3D Mario titles just keep getting better.
