Thats my point. It broke records and it was digital. Im saying digital is going to be getting more and more important and physical data wont be able to tell the whole story.

Slightly over 1 million could be ~33% of total sales, which is not a completely unrealistic %. With the misdirection in other aspects of that PR it's hard to know whether they mean digital sales with a physical release, digital sales on Xb one or all time ditigal sales with or without a physical release.

Digital is important. I think it'll be taken into consideration for Uncharted 4 as well, but maybe less given their online is generally garbage. :-p

You are right in that digital is becoming more and more relevant, but it still makes up a relatively small part of sales of AAA console games.

Well you always predict and hope for low numbers on Xbox. You show your bias with every post. You'll be right sometimes.
Halo 5 should be able to pass 3.2 million this year, even without digital. Its apparently biggest opening ever on X1. Advanced Warfare did 3.8 million by January 3rd with a smaller userbase.

Of course you can. It doesnt mean a franchise is going downhill because it failed to out sell its predecssor in its first week. like i said before, Halo 5 has the best FPS MP in the franchise and even for a next gen game, it will continue to sell thought the years. It might sit on 5m or could even reach 10m once all its MP features are added. Either way Halo 5 is a hugh success for Xbox and MS after it racked in $400m+ in just 1 week.
A lot of purchases were put on hold after the MCC fiasco. Don't know if they'll return. Word of mouth was very bad and most was well deserved.
I'm still waiting for the inevitable "Which will sell more Uncharted 4 or Halo 5" thread. It's crazy to think that Uncharted 4 have a chance of selling more.
Bold prediction: I think Fallout 4, CODBO3 and Battlefront will all sell more than Halo 5 on X1.

Between all platforms? Not that bold, but Star Wars is unlikely.
On Xbox alone? No. Except maybe CoD.
