If it is indeed ported to NX, of course. Ok I really want to make a bold prediction about my favorite game series.

I believe it's a lock that the game will sell at the very least 3m+ on Wii U, leaving less than 5m on NX to achieve the mark. Console Zelda games usually sell pretty well, but not THAT much, with Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time being the only ones to reach 8m+.

So... Can it? Will it? 



Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

On Wii U? Definitely a 2m at the very very least.. Given that the NX is that dream machine we all want, it could easily become one of the best selling Zeldas. But sales of the new console are a big influence. We'll have to see what the NX is, and if anyone's going to care for it.

Twilight Princess, from the top of my head, sold 1.6m and 7.1m on GC and Wii for a combined 8.7m. Ocarina of Time is a million below that. I agree being released on a new console as a launch game will help Zelda U a lot like it did with Twilight Princess and I think it would be a shame if Nintendo wasted the sales potential by only releasing on WiiU.

So it would be better, but I wouldn't dare going as high as the highest selling game in the series. Twilight Princess did ride the Wii-wave, so the NX would have to be pretty successful as well. Reception so far has been good, but the end product needs to be praised and not unimportantly, hype for the game would have to be amazing. To throw something out myself; I'd say, if released on two systems, a lifetime of 6-7m is a safer bet, with a 2m-4m+ ratio between the systems.

As a fan like you though, the higher the better obviously, I'm still waiting for that first true 10m seller!

Even if it ends up on NX, I doubt it.

WWHD is almost at 2mil, HW did 1mil in a couple of months. Zelda U a new game is surely going to easily beat those games. 2mil is the minimum
