Not a fan of FPS either but might play the single player campaign in Halo 5 eventually. The only ones I have beaten so far is 1&2. Started 3 but still haven't finished it. Have access to all the games since my younger brother is a fan of the series. Still have to beat Bioshock Infinite also I'm hoping I'm close to the end of the game since the last level I stopped on is kinda a pain in the ass even though I'm playing it on the easiest difficulty level. Its on a ship and you have to defend the engines.

You know, I haven't seen many people at all say, "I'm not going to play this because it's an 85 on Metacritic."

I'm leary of titles that drop below 50.

No, but you have those of the "opposite" camp using it as fodder when a hottly anticipated game doesn't receive the +92 average.

Had Halo 5 scored +92 the opposite camp would have joined Xbox team, bruh!

They probably would have just shut up.

Didn't know the critic metascore for Beyond Two Souls was that low actually liked it better then Heavy Rain.  The story was better.

Well, the opinion on the game is rather split, both on the critics and gamers front. Many QD fans were happy, plenty of critics lauded the game as well.

But many didn't get it at all. The IGN review of the game is still one of the dumbest I've read/seen. "Enjoy": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVk-XrGR5ks

The story was better for me too, especially the endgame, and some of the chapters reached emotional highs that Heavy Rain failed to reach.

Smart thing to do is not to care much for scores that general gaming publications/sites give, especially when it comes to more niche genres.

I find that in lot of cases they will tend to review and score game with 'mainstream' eyes, and that can turn either unfavorable for game, which judged by its niche criteria is much better than what 'general population' reviews are implying or they can hype it way beyond its true worth.

I hated that bit, completely out of place. I dropped the difficulty to the lowest setting to get through, yet if you're already there :/ It is the last real fight before the epilogue which is worth getting to.

I enjoyed the campaign of Halo 4, will probably get Halo 5 eventually as well. Not for full price as I don't care about multiplayer. I'll play it on normal as well. Sometimes it's nice to get through a campaign in 6 to 8 hours instead of investing half your life into an rpg :)

Halo 5 is obviously average, but people who like it should continue to enjoy it and that is all that matters.
