The moment people are able to admit Other M isn't as bad as they keep telling themselves it is, is the moment we can all move on. Unfortunately I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I thought Other M was great. I should play it again, soon.

I'm waiting to be released on the Wii U VC to download and play again!

The dialogue and acting weren't very good but it's a good effort aesthetically.

Speaking of aesthetics... I never thought I'd care much for Jessica as a blonde, but... dayum!  That shot of her smiling is especially nice.

I hope she does the next Metroid commercial for Metroid NX.

When you search for the film on Youtube, my review is the second result, right under the film itself! I'm pretty stoked about that.

I thought it was awesome except for Jessica Chobot. An actor she is not.

I don't know. She did an excellent job portraying a mannequin in Mass Effect 3.

That's pretty cool for what it is, a low budget short film, with pretty damn good special effects, and ok dialog. I personally would love metroid more like this. I'm tired of the silent emotionless robots, I liked the more human character portrayed here.

Samus may appear scared here, but that is what I like. She's afraid of the unknown, but still brave enough to press on and explore. I find nothing wrong with a more fleshed out character vs the standard nintendo bot. Really cool short film, and well done.

The difference between a game Samus and a film Samus is, that the game Samus is supposed to just shoot everything that moves. When you try to combine the two, the odds are that you'll fail hard.

I agree, they should get a tall, blond hair, blue eyed actress to play her. Then at least Samus wouldn't look so terrible.

You wouldn't think it'd be that hard.

You're spot on here. In order for a good Metroid movie to be made, Samus could not be portrayed as she is in the games. She'd have to have an actual character and personality. If that means her being 'afraid' in these kinds of situations then so be it, fanboys be damned! Lol

Wow, I was surprised to see such a critical reaction. I thought it was very well done for what it is, and I don't see how you can really criticize Chobot for her part. You basically only saw her eyes for 75% of the movie.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

I liked it.

It isn't great but one of the nicest cinematic representations of the Metriod franchise I seen and would make a good trailer for a actual game. I agree the dialogue could use some work but all Metroid fans should know by now going into anything Metriod expecting good dialogue is setting oneself up for disappointment.

Impressive effort for basically an indie production.
