Activision issued their financial earnings report earlier than usual today because of the King aquisition announcement. In the earnings report, Activision has revealed the the monthly active users for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has risen to nearly 12 million. 

"Momentum ahead of launch has been strong and engagement for Call of Duty: Black Ops II grew quarter-over-quarter again to nearly 12 million MAUs, an unprecedented level for a game that is three years old and only available on old-generation consoles."

people getting ready for BO3 are probably playing BO2 until three releases. still, that number is very very impressive.

I already reached Prestige Master and got most camos for a lot of my weapons, but I still play quite a bit from time to time and still find it fun. And, of course I'm playing to get a bit warmed up for Black Ops 3.

The zombie mode in bo2 does have some of the best maps. People are probably playing it in anticipation for 3

I said it before. On ps3 alone, it has 100k almost everyday and not only recently, few months ago was as the same level as well.

Yep, there were 186k on this past weekend on PS3.
