Oh, this thread is not gonna end well.

Halo sometimes seems untouchable for what the franchise means to gaming.

But if other AAA games get exposed for false advertisement (like Destiny), a short disappointing campaign (like The Order 1886) or for online issues (like DriveClub)

It is not fare that both The Master Chief Collection and Halo 5 ended up being immune for some of those sins.

I mean, go read the IGN review and then compare it with the final score, it doesn't add up. I'm glad that Joe was not scared of the backlash.

So much butthurt for this review. You have to get this: AJ is not bribed by anyone he actually gets a lot of BS from companies because he doesn't lie and exposes how publishers are ripping gamers off.

I get it Halo is a big franchise and many of you love it very much, but please take your fanboy-goggles off and be a bit more objective about this. The longer you keep buying stuff because of the brand and not because the game is actually good, you give companies a message that anything goes and in the long run it will ruin the franchise. I'm not talking just or specifically about Halo, but any franchise, Mario, Assassin's Creed, MGS, Uncharted, Gran Turismo, Resident Evil, (not saying that all of these have gone bad, but one day they could) and so on.

TL;DR - Don't be a fanboy, you can love a franchise and still be objective about it.

If anyone cares they are subbed. Regardless it is inconsequential to this site.

I am sorry if you are taking this personally. This isnt a criticism only to you but all the OP's we have been having plagiating articles and videos. I dont get it, its really annoying. If you have nothing to say, dont make a thread. I can debate their articles on their own mediums. You are actually stealing traffic from them.

The point is you dont just link a video. The videos or articles are basis for your opinion. You admited you have no opinion on starting this thread, so you just shared Joe's video for him (is Joe as member of this forum?). If it was himself doing it, all good cause its his opinion. Since its you, there is nothing to debate cause you dont have an opinion.

If your point was: i agree or i dont agree with him + arguments, it would be a different matter and then we would have a topic. This, is just a waste of time. If i want to comment his video or an article i go to the authors. You are diminishing these forums when you just plagiate stuff.

As someone who has played all Halo games and been a massive fan of the series since day dot. I don't know how anyone can disagree with AJ. You can hear his disappointment at the game and I agree with every point he made.

This game is a total mess in the single player arena and the multiplayer is good but will get boring fast. I am surprised he didn't give the game a worse score because I feel it deserves it. After spending $320.00 for the limited edition, I can say the best part of the package is the statue that you receive.

How the hell does it not stand up?  When you say the multiplayer is the best since Halo 2 and probably the best Halo multiplayer ever, how are you going to get lower than a 9.0?  They expressed dissapointment with the campaign in that it was shorter than expected (still took me 10-12 hours on legendary) and it was not what the ads lead us to believe which was disappointing.  Still very fun.

The Order was $60 for something that is beaten in under 5 hours with no replay value nor multiplayer.  That is a slap in the face to gamers.  Don't really remmeber Destiny being falsely advertised, it was just a very boring game as the world was so empty and repetitive.  People still think Driveclub is a good game?  Mediocre at best.  

He complains about microtransactions and REQ points taking too long to get.  LOL  There are so many RP boosts and XP boosts that you get the best pack every 9-14 games.   Or spend $2.99.  This game is very easy on microtransactions compared to something like Clash of Clans.

This thread has over 20 pages, obviously people think it's interesting enough, seeing you keep bashing it is making me sad so please stop or i'll cry.

Although he is OTT as ever and blows things out of proportion, I do agree with him on nearly all of his points. As a long term Halo fan some of the changes they are making and equally some of the changes they aren't making do worry me. I think Halo 5 is a fantastic game and a must-buy for anyone with an Xbox One (it's also another reason to own an XB1) but it could have been better if some different decisions had been made.
