When you say casual gamer you mean mobile gamers right? JK, but we probably need a mod for mobile gamers too.

Agreed, I've seen these type of threads banned or locked before and honestly I'm starting to see more people taking the piss out of Zero and it's really not all that fair either.

Zero had a legit concern that were were actually discussing in our PC megathread, this is just low level mockery that's being allowed to carry on against one user's actual legit plea.

But again this is why I advise mods to learn quirks from other users to learn more about them, clearly they should start now or just become lazy, I mean there's not much to stop me finding out about someone not doing their job and talking about them eslewhere. For the recrod I;m not even mad or anything but I genuinely feel like some just arne't doing their job properly, I mean if you sign up for the job then by all means do it but don't slack off or decide when you want to do work.

If someone is banned repeatly for the same things/breaking similar rules repeatedly, they'll have a history that will add to their moderations. That doesn't require any "digging" really. 

If a mod has to dig deep or learn someone's "quirks" just to be able to ban a person when they aren't breaking any rules, it's going overboard. 

As I've said with my definition of casual since casual does have an open meaning.
A casual is someone who just buys games by looking at TV ads and going into game stores and buying a game purely based of the boxart. Casuals don't go onto websites and talk about games etc. Everyone here, is not a casual, thereby it is impossible to have a casual mod :p

I've been known to play on mobile sometimes which is specifically the reason why I was denied the honor of being a mod so many times. It really is a shame and a giant step backwards for equal rights for gamers.

There's one big problem with casual gamers as mods; being everyday gamers they spend their time playing the games and not just talking about it, meaning they don't time for the mod job.

Can't really say anything about the current situation with the mods, but the OP likely means that the mods themselves take it personally when someone goes to criticise their own preferences.

Yeah I don't get it either, mods closed it without even saying.

It also proves some smooth jokes are allowed but not others, just like goading is totally allowed after having a recent discussion with another user/mod.

A casual agmer would eb a gamer who saw a trailer for a video on youtube or tv and then checked the review and checked with friends then bought it. Thats what most of my friends who game do..
