Forums - Nintendo - What should Good-Feel work on next?

Good-Feel has done a good job with making platformers with neat art styles based on Nintendo IP (Wario Land: Shake It!, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Yoshi's Woolly World). Should they make a sequel to one of these games, make another game based on a different Nintendo IP, or try with a completely new IP or different genre?

Personally I would like to see them have a shot at Donkey Kong. Retro Studios made two great DKC games but I feel it's time for then to move on and let another studio have a shot. I like the visual gimmicks they have that tie into the gameplay like yarn/wool and the last DKC had a lot of detail in the fur so it would be cool to see Good-Feel take that a step further and have it mixed into the gameplay somehow. They could call  it Donkey Kong: Furry Frenzy or something like that.

I would like them to stick with Yoshi and Wario Land, if not maybe a new IP.

I like the concept of using unique art styles (clay, yarn) but I'd like a different one. We've seen yarn twice (Kirby's Epic Yarn and Wooly World) and we've seen clay once (Kirby), I'd like to see something totally crazy like Metroid using Color pencil drawings (like Gunmen Clive, except better and with color).

Seriously though, a pencil drawing version of Metroid would be amazing... 2-d Metroid obviously.

Metroid's Woolly World

Although I liked Yoshis wooly world, I still see all that wool visuals as a gimmick and I think the game could have been so much better if it wasn't all made of wool. Imagine if that was only one or two worlds, not the whole game. Nintendo games can be made with so many different visuals that it's a shame that the entire game is done with the same aesthetic. The first world or two were nice but after that all the levels were the same for me (with some exceptions) but you know what I mean, once you see one, you have seen them all.

With that said, I think they should still work with yoshi and kirby, even wario or a different IP. But if they keep working on platformers that would be just fine. They do amazing 2d platformers but I just hope they would focus more on the platforming and less on the gimmicks.

A 3D platformer. That 3D hub world in Yoshi's Woolly World must mean they want to broaden their scope, no?

Another Kirby that's not about yarn.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won
