My Nintendo and Miitomo have the same release date, which clearly means they are linked. That is to say Miitomo will be using the new My Nintendo reward system and the new account system.

Mobile games/apps are easy to make, but rolling out a new service succesfully that millions of users will be using is not an easy task. Saying Nintendo is incompetent because they couldn't release a mobile game on time is disingenuous.

And I already wrote to you that Nintendo on NX will not have problems they had this gen.

When did they give a release date for the game?

Around March they said it will be released in Fall.

I have to agree that this is pretty pathetic. Nintendo has been making mistakes after mistakes for the last 7 years.

But anyway, nothing is ready for the game to come out, they need to release the new account system, the new mynintendo stuff, and then it will be the time to release it.
So the problem is actually that they just need to get their shit together, they shouldn't have announced the game for this year if they weren't sure everything will be ready.
But nowadays in the video game industry, nobody gives a shit about delays.

You're overreacting. Nintendo has so much on their plate right now. This delay is completely understandable. By the way, they haven't announced any especific game before. This was the first time that they mentioned a title and showed screenshots of the game.

I agree, first it took way too long to even get a hint of what the mobile title would be and now that we finally know what its going to be like, it's delayed... Especially the new Nintendo Account system! To be fair, i think this wouldn't have taken so long if Iwata were still alive, after his death there must have been quite some panic over at Nintendo.

Now that Kimishima has taken the lead things are doing better at Nintendo and i'd rather have a delayed but good game than a bad/unfinished game.

They specifically said their first mobile game will be released this year. But nowadays video games release dates means nothing. Like I said, I don't think the delay is a bad thing, I think it is actually better since this game and the new account system and everything else is the start of a new era for Nintendo, and I think they need to close that mess they have with the WiiU/3DS first.

But they should have figured this out long ago. I'm sorry but it's been a few years that Nintendo is making things up as it goes. They had so many games delayed these last years, so many missed opportunities, so many mistakes.

And they keep doing it, Starfox and Zelda have been delayed, the marketing for Mario Tennis and Xenoblade have been all but nonexistent. It's pretty much clear they are dumping everything this christmas to prepare 2016 with the NX, DeNA, the new accounts and everything else.

I dont think there was any panic in Nintendo after Iwata died, Nintendo know that Iwata was very sick and they prepared.

I agree.  This isn't a first time thing.   For many here to accept that they couldn't put together an account system on time, so that makes it OK that the games are not released is just sad.  The OP made it clear, it's not just one thing that is a problem.  It's clear Nintendo is a mess.

Of course, this could all be part of a plan to make a monster splash of relaesing all of the platforms at the same time or similar time next year.  They may have planned this all along but just wanted to keep some form of relevence this year by announcing things.  I felt that Sony did the same thing with a few of its games.  They probably knew that they weren't going to be ready this fall but talked them up to keep the PS community happy.  I think that all companies do this with products.
